At only 45NTD (~S$2), this cup of bbt was a steal! While the milk tea itself wasn’t the best, the consistency of the pearls was definitely on point - just the right level of bounce or QQness as the Taiwanese would call it. Unfortunately, it was a little out of the way at Gong Guan night market.

Happily, they are efficient and though queue was long, the waiting time was barely 3 minutes. Each cup at 40 yuan (S$1.85). The differentiating point is the addition of brown sugar to the fresh milk.

The drink itself isn't too sweet and there's a hint of caramel finish thanks to the brown sugar. The sweet part comes at the chewy bouncy pearls at the bottom. Would prefer lesser. Worth a visit at least once, if not for the hype and experience. I went through 2.5 milk teas today for our first day in Taipei ✌️. But somehow that meant we couldn't eat as much after :X
- Half a red bean pancake
- 1 large koi bubble tea (90% finished - equivalent to two)
- half a bowl of tau huay (beancurd)
- Half a pack of sweet potato fries
- Half a pineapple tart
- One small pack of crispy salted chicken
- One of this, 75% finished
