Say YES to Foie Gras and Wagyu beef for Mookata!
168 Mookata, located at 43 Cambridge Road, is a newly opened Mookata in Singapore, run by a former chef from Flutes at National Museum Singapore. They offer really generous portion and quality Mookata ingredients at affordable prices.

Their Mookata was served with homemade chicken broth which was great to enjoy without feeling thirsty. I had their Jumbo Meat Platter which comes with 1kg worth of variety of meat, plenty of sides and vegetables, for ONLY $39.90. This platter is suitable for 4 to 5 pax, so each person will only pay $10 or less?!

Note: They also serves smaller portion platter (670g meat), so suitable for you to come by with your date or girlie friend to enjoy too. If you fon't fancy platters, you can go Ala Carte. Their extensive ingredients are really affordable as well.

Meats are freshly marinated daily, prepared upon order. They serve 2 types of sauce dip for our juicy grilled meat: Signature Thai dipping sauce, Assam and Chilli sauce.🀀 Apart from pork, chicken and sliced beef, 168 Mookata also serves tender, richly marbled Wagyu Striploin and Wagyu Ribeye. Mjouth-watering robust flavour. GOTTA ALSO TRY their Premium Foie Gras, ONLY $5.90 per piece. I thought it'll be a thin small piece since it's Premium ingredient, but it's THICK. What a steal and so far really can't find any other Mookata places serving Foie Gras! No gamey taste but really fragrant and creamy. Strongly recommend if you love Foie Gras! Go up your Mookata game! Over all, good service, food and peaceful environment among the HDBs.

Visited on 18 Feb, fairly New MOOkidTA on the block 😎

Yes you saw that right, @168_mookata serves affordable foie gras ($5.90/pc) and 100g Wagyu Striploin MB4+ ($9.90) 🀩 Not only are they pocket-friendly, for a generous meat platter at $25.90 for 2pax / $39.90 for 4-5pax, I must say that their ingredients were really fresh and of quality πŸ‘πŸ» The highlight for us was none other than the substantially thick and melt-in-mouth foie gras β€” def recommended πŸ˜‹ Do check them out, they just turned 1 month old in this neighbourhood πŸ™ŒπŸ»

took my first bite at the australian wagyu ($9.90 per serving) and i was so amazed at how fresh it was! wagyu was juicy w the right amount of saltiness that leaves you craving for MORE.
tried the garlic pork and marinated chicken and they did not disappoint too! the meat was fresh and nicely seasoned w the right amount of fats that doesn’t make it feel greasy.
up next was the foie gras ($5.90)! didn’t want to cook it first as i was scared the oil from the foie gras would overpower any other meat i was gng to cook next. WOAH! the foie gras was rly rly good! we chose to cook our foie gras till it was brownish and buttery 🀀🀀
rly wished the stall owners had more of these babies! as it was near their closing time, we were met w disappointment when the stalls owner said they were sold out for the day!

after my meal, i proceeded to ask my friend for the price of the meal and was so shocked!!! everything costed only $30?!?! OMG?!?! SUPER WORTH IT?!?!
we ordered: wagyu, foie gras, cheese dip, 4 servings of meat, 1 serving of golden mushroom, 1 serving of cheese tofu, 1 serving of fishball w roe and maggie mee.

OH YES! one more thing, cheese dip only consist of mozzarella cheese (not fake nacho). just shows how much the stall focuses on quality! πŸ’―

will i be back? YES! definitely worth it!

pro tip: only cook the foie gras after trying some of the meat. unless, you are an ultimate foodie and just love the taste of foie gras over everything.

Mookata (~$15/pax)
⭐️ 3.5/5 ⭐️
🍴Newly opened #mookata in a humble hawker centre. The Jumbo meat platter ($39.90) for 4-5pax included a wide array of pork and chicken meat (1kg worth!), cheese tofu, cheese ball, meatball, crab stick, hotdog, luncheon meat, and vegetables. Enjoyed that the meats were marinated in their signature sauce/ black pepper but not overpoweringly so. This meant that they could still be enjoyed when dipped into their array of yummy sauces. The chilli had a sweet-spicy kick, while the Thai seafood sauce was tangy and garlicky, with mild spiciness. The Assam would suit non spicy lovers with its sweet-sour profile. Cheese lovers would also appreciate their generously filled cheese tofu and cheese ball, and alacarte option of cheese dip ($2).

Besides the usual meat & vegetable platters, the highlight was premium foie gras (4 ⭐️; $5.90 each) which we would thoroughly recommend! Each piece was generously thick and could be grilled to develop a nice outside char while retaining a juicy and creamy interior. Wasn’t too gamey or rich as well. Their Wagyu Striploin (3 ⭐️; $9.90/ 100g) was slightly tough but a reasonably priced option for those craving beef. They also offer richly marbled wagyu ribeye ($24.90/250g).

For carb lovers, they offer rice, tang hoon, and instant noodles. Pro tip: add the tom yum seasoning that came with the instant noodles to amp up the flavour of the soup πŸ˜‰.
