[CLOSED] 3Keng Kolo Mee (Golden Mile)

The friendly uncle asked me. Black is with black soy sauce while White is original & taste better he added. I went for the original 😊 I did not expect the noodle to be the tiny flat type but it was fine. It looked rather bland but when I mixed it with the minced meat & crispy chili, the taste was ok. But the noodle lacked the QQ feel 🤔 Well, at least I tried & tasted this kolo mee that only premium ingredients from Germany & Japan are used 😆

Located on the second floor of Golden Mile Food Centre, this kolo mee stall had a pretty healthy queue all the way till closing time. Besides the usual noodles, they had a shiitake and red grain noodle option (+$0.50) as well. Opted for the mushroom noodles and uncle very happily added some of the red grain noodles for me to try. Unfortunately this kinda worked against this humble but tasty plate of noodles as the differing thickness cause the thicker mushroom noodles to end up clumpy in certain parts. Even then though, I really enjoyed the flavour packed plate, generous with the minced pork, tasty tender char siew and fragrant chilli packed with that ikan essence. The 黑 version of the noodles does get a bit salty though, so I’ll definitely opt for the 白 the next time.
