79 After dark is celebrating food tour across North and West India this year. Month of May is Gujarati Thali only on Sundays. Unlimited food and masala chaas!

They start with masala chaas and khakhra. The thali is traditionally set with petite bowls filled with awesomeness: kachumbar salad, khaman dhokla, khatti meeti toor dal, Gujarati kadhi, gatta curry, sev Tameta nu Mel, undhiyu, rice and poori with mango shreekhand.

Undhiyu was the biggest hit on our table!

Shreekhand was a bit of let down, but 1 out of 12 is absolutely ignorable.

I'm looking forward to Punjab month in June!

Ambience was all right. We sat by the road and slowly ate while watching the cars go past. Food was pretty good - in particular we enjoyed the naan and butter chicken! The mutton wasn’t the best we’ve ever had. Probably went with really high expectations because of all the reviews ‘bout this place so maybe that’s why I left feeling a wee bit disappointed.

Would come back for the naan and chicken though.

Used Entertainer for this!

What this lunch set lacks in variety it makes up for in taste, with a rich and creamy tomato curry sauce spiced with turmeric and cumin really enhancing the flavour of the tender chicken chunks. The set comes with a choice of rice or naan.

The restaurant is also on #BurppleBeyond, with 1-for-1 mains. Do note these are large portions meant for sharing and do not come with rice or naan.

This is just okay and too expensive. Only gravy and nothing inside. Price is $16 (excluded tax and service charge). Free water is provided.

Tender chicken chunks in a creamy, tomato-ey cashew gravy. Best enjoyed with a basket of naan for dunking — we opted for the garlic ones ($5).

Got 1-for-1 with #BurppleBeyond here!
