Many claims that 88 HKRMS sells the best sio bak in SG, and many will agree.

Not only are their sio bak very good, their roasted duck and char siew are very well done.

Sio bak skin very very crispy.

It's my 3rd visit to 88 Hong Kong Roast Meat Specialist but the famous crispy and savoury roast meat (sio bak) is sold out this time by lunch time! 😲 Nonetheless, I'm still satisfied with the perfectly caramelized and tender char siew as well as the flavourful roast duck. ☺️

🍴One of the better roast meats around that would be among our favourites if not for its inconsistent quality (had dry/ tougher meat on some visits). But on good days like this, it seriously impresses.

Well-marinated and roasted to near perfect, the tender chasiew had an excellent char and sweet-smoky flavour. Their sio bak retains its ultra crispy crackling top even in takeaway form, and was an addictive bite.
We requested for leaner meat which they nicely delivered but fans of fattier meats would be pleased to know that their usual cuts are highly juicy with well-rendered fats.

Their noodles and wanton are forgettable, not that it mattered much given the focus on their meats. And a shoutout to their deliciously piquant and flavourful 2 types of chilli.

Came back again to dine in after seeing the generous sauces.

Ordered the 三拼set to savor all their meat and $1.50 more to try duck so why not hor. Then thought add egg also not bad so bam, this plate of rice costs $10. Is decent just pretty expensive.

Many have covered this place in the past, and till today the stall has remained its quality and consistency. You can never go wrong with their biscuit-skin texture on the sio bak that has the absolute addictive crunch to it while having a perfect fat to meat ratio that I like. On the other hand, the char siew is nicely charred and caramelised with a stinky consistency that will have you swooning over for more. Be it rice or noodle, either option will go well with the roast meats, but I will recommend the latter as the thin egg noodles are cooked so well that there’s no alkaline taste to it and tossed in a lard oil mixture before served.
