Had the all famous Yishun Laksa ($2.80/3.30) to go, and my oh my, even when it's left out there for an hour, it still tastes so good. Definitely a hearty soup with bold coconut milk flavours, this laksa has firm noodles with fresh cockles as well. Worth the 45 min wait? It just might!

One of the main draws is that the Laksa is quite cheap, starting as low as $2.80 (USD2) per bowl, but you can add more ingredients for just $0.50, while cockles are $1 extra.

Comparing this with some of the more familiar styles, this gravy was on the light side, and I would imagine some would prefer a richer, with more of that lemak coconut milk flavour.

The thing that stands out the most is their delicious homemade sambal added with dried shrimps, so try the gravy on its own first before mixing that in.

That chilli gives the dish an extra kick of dang and spice, that may cause some to break out in sweat.

Alamak, why do I crave for Laksa now?! More here: bit.ly/laksasg

Yesterday I queued for 40 mins to tabao this bowl.
The noodle and all ingredients are packed separately, so customer no need to worry if will be soggy or not.
💰$3.5 (Big bowl includes takeaway packaging) .
Additional $1 for add hum, and $0.5 for add ingredients.

Beside it is the dessert store that sells a variety of desserts 🤤😍 and ofc the vvv nice laksa beside the dessert store!! 😍

don’t know how to describe but it just has this nostalgic old school taste. not very spicy, you can add more sambal for extra kick. Broth is so satisfying and lemak (rich and creaminess of the coconut cream). i’m a fan of cockles and you get to add more cockles $2.80-$3.30 for a bowl, their price hasn’t inflate much for the past decade. definitely worth to queue for. #jxeatsrecommend #shiokfoodfind

Pretty unique. Lemak Broth with spice and a kick at the back of the throat. Noodles had a nice chew and easy to slurp. Chili sauce is very very special with a nice tang and a slightly fermented umami. Loved the chewy Fish chunks on top which added so much thickness to the mouth feel of the entire bowl. Its no wonder they warrant a long queue in such a quiet neighbourhood
