Had it daopao once...today went to actual stall located at 153 Serangoon North Ave 1 to try before picking my son. I was told to wait 20 mins even though it was non peak - I guessed the chef was preparing a new pot...and so I did...waiting patiently while noticing activities in the kopitiam. Many plates were seen lying on tables with no helper to clean it - one common thing I notice was that all these plates were wiped out! Well it maybe the birds who were scavenging on any crumbs found. 😝😝😝 Finally my 20 mins wait was over and wah la...(See profile picture of dish)....everything was done in less than 5 mins. CLEAN CLEAN! Definitely on my list for cheap hawker Food Singapore Style 😎😎😎

A queue was what drew me to this stall, although the uncle (I would think he is the owner) had only one hand, he demonstrated strength and skills as would any normal being. Very helpful and polite despite his disability, salute to that!

Never knew “Punggol” had any association to noodles except Nasi Lemak, however this stall doesn’t look like its new too. Nevertheless, noodles tasted above average. I especially like the hand made pork balls and the combination taste of lard with Chilli sauce, yummy! Lol...😝😝

Due to time constraint, we only had time for some fast and furious dishes...😝😝😝 unfortunately we did not manage to try its vast varieties of seafood available like crabs, geoduck, lobsters etc. overall nice place for seafood and each dish cake tasted perfecto! For 4 pax, we had 7 dishes for RM$226, hence if you are like me converting from SGD to MYR, this place is certainly a must go...hahaha.

😝😝 I hope the place is correct, it’s found embedded on these photos. Apparently this small street house one of the best beef noodle stall. No frills and easy going, it is packed and busy non stop. Tried both dry and soup version....it’s certainly worth the time hunting for this street. Also with neighboring shops selling nice toasted bread with home made kaya, butter and many more choices, flushed down with their signature milk tea was tremendous. My wife and I wrapped up our short lunch escapades with downing a dozen of these cute little “don’t know what to called these”, filled with coconuts and corn or yam etc....really delicious. I guessed Bangkok is exciting with these unique and creativeness in street food.

Opting for additional Chinese rice wine into my bowl of 鱼头米 (Fish Head Bee Hoon) certainly makes it much more aromatic then it usually is. Tried the “Dragon Balls”, make up of fish, prawn, squid paste and deep fried till golden brown - nice and Q to the max. The 椒盐虾 is also another must try!!! Yummy!!! 😬😬😬👌👌

This area used to be known as 二奶村, this restaurant has been operating humbly and has gained much fanfare from its crabs!!! While I was waiting eagerly for my share to arrive, I kept hearing “plack” “plack” sound, came to realized each table around us were working hard on the steel hammer cracking crabs....hahaha. Being Singaporean and Chilli crabs were part of our culture, I must say this is gooooood!!!! 👍👍👍

While travelling recently to KL, I did a pit stop at Pagor R&R, stumbled upon this small stall selling Nasi KuKus Ayam. Basically it’s just fried chicken drumstick (ayam) with rice (nasi), and as a condiments, there are variety of sauces to choose from. I chose Asam Pedas as I am a fan of spicy kicks. Stall was unusually clean compared to most of the R&R stalls. Food was hot and freshly prepared. Simple yet delicious. Highly recommend if you need a break after a long drive. 👍👍👍👍

Nestled in a corner of a neighborhood coffee shop. You probably will not even think that such heavy weight would be amongst the common. Truffle Wanton Noodles....yummy, with generous portion of semi fatty char siew, fried wanton and steam wanton. The noodles are moist thoroughly with truffle oil...definitely worth a try. If you are not so adventurous, they do serve normal wanton noodles and other delicacies. 👍👍👍

Another new kid on the block! Located on the same stretch as popular Kin Kin Chilli Ban Mee on Macpherson Road. Both entities are selling similar stuff - Chilli Ban Mee! The noodles here are tastier and had more flavor. Anchovies, minced pork, meat balls and a poached egg makes the signature dish here. With the incorporation of chilli into this simple mixture, the transformation is just superb! I must say the chilli here is POWER! It make just well be a home run for this kid. Yumminess: 4/5 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Unable to provide the name as it is all written in Thai. Along Rama 4 reaching Samyan Market, turn into small alley where Siam Commercial Bank is, you will find this roadside stall selling superlicious duck meat, duck wings, duck blood, intestine all served up in a uniquely metal claypot, heated up over readily charcoal. Operating from 9am onwards and usually sells out before 4pm. Unwise to go during noon unless you are prepared to battle it out with the crowd or the weather. A definitely must visit place! QQ noodles make from egg white only no alkali (kee) added, splendid braised pork, succulent wanton & dumplings, char siew and fried wanton makes this simple Sarawak Kolo Mee a must to try if you haven't. I especially like the chilli which is tangy and comes with a sour bite....real appetizing. Slightly improvised from its actual form found in many parts of Malaysia where it originates. This is comfort food at its purest just like Bak Chor Mee to Singaporean. You won't missed the snaky queue form by hungry patrons at Tampines Round Market. Yumminess: 3.5/5

Much publicity on social media lately that I have to go personally grade this 😬😬😬 Extreme long queue were there to greet me on this wet Saturday morning.... the long wait had me salivating while contemplating what to savor on the menu!!! Price tag of $24.90 for its premier Lobster Noodles is unheard of considering serving from a neighborhood hawker centre. One full Columbia Lobster, 2 big prawns and loads of pipis. Sweet soup based with fried garlic floating above. Whatever style you choose, be it prawns, crayfish, lobsters all come with the same soup based. I personally feel the chef had been slightly generous on the 花雕酒 portion hence making the soup a little bitter at the end. I salute the entrepreneurship of the young owner for this extremely daring price tag. Conclusion: similarly to White Seafood Beehoon or Wen Wen Prawn Noodles at Geylang Bahru, traditionally prawn noodles transformation. Yumminess 3.5/5 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
