Quality Burger馃挴鉂わ笍 Ordered wagyu beef burger and we are sort of regulars and is my 10th times visiting. The burger is so satisfying and worth to go for. It comes with free flow drinks and large serving of fries. This meal just goes under $20! Amazing food needless to say.

Wolf It Down Wolf Burgers has been around for years at pasarbella, and it鈥檚 been pretty reliable down through the years. A pair of thicc, xtra joocy medium rare patties dressed with sliced cheese & caramelised onions engulfed between a pair of bouncy brown buns should be the most complete meal a man can get. Well, there was one thing missing this time unfortunately. 鉅 WHERE鈥橲 THE SEASONING, YOU DONKEYYY Also $6 cheese fries ain鈥檛 really worth it. It鈥檚 good, but not worth six bucks.

Lunch sets (soondubu stew + beef) Soup was v flavourful and can really taste the prawn upon the first sip. the meat was not served hot (sadly) and with the strong AC blowing at our table, it got cold pretty. the white rice was slightly hard and undercooked. the banchan were pretty good and they were generous w their refills :') bound to be pretty stuffed if you finish everything hahaha they even had a 15% discount for this period so it was a pretty good deal in addition to their lunch promo.

Set A I have recently taken quite a liking to Korean food and flavors. 馃 And I was so super impressed by this new Korean joint in the CBD! The 2 pax set ($48) comes with pork belly, prime rib, pork shoulder and marinated chicken. It was the perfect portion for two people. The meats were all really good especially wrapped in a lettuce leaf with a piece of kimchi (my favorite was hands-down the marinated chicken thigh; incredibly juicy and flavorful!!) The fact that they provided a charcoal grill resulted in a nice smoky char imparted on the meats. Among the banchan my favorites had to be the chuka wakame (cold and refreshing), sweet beancurd skin and some gochujang-marinated beansprouts. The silken tofu was really nice too. In addition I really appreciated the ring of refillable egg (with crabstick) around the sides of the grill. Provided that extra protein kick. 馃槣 I had it refilled thrice! Oh there's also self-service ice cream ;) chocolate and mango flavor when I made my visit Definitely value for money especially when shared out among 2 people!! :) 9.5/10

Amongst many joints for Korean BBQ in the vicinity, this place was bustling with activities and a consistent queue when we visited for dinner. Their BBQ meats were as good as some others we have eaten at. The free-flow egg around the BBQ plate was a nice touch. Their menu also offered a pretty good variety of Korean dishes (but not my favourite Jajangmyeon). Undisputedly, the star of the meal was their Korean pancake served in a straw basket. Larger than any of our faces, it was alluringly golden brown and amazingly tasty. The best pancake we had in SG by far. The order allowed half-half combination for kimchi and seafood which was great for trying both flavours. So yes, their pancakes would be the reason for us to visit this over other Korean BBQ places.

Laksa Leaf Pesto Pasta ($25) 馃崫 I am a sucker when it comes to fusion pastas. I've tried tom yam pastas and chili crab pastas before and it was a hit and miss. This time, it was a bit of a leap of faith to try this laksa pasta but I loved it! | The pasta had a mild laksa flavour without being too spicy. The fragrance of the laksa leaf really came through and blended well with the sauce's milkiness and the accompanying sambal beans. This dish really is something unique! | 庐锔: 9/10 for high prices higher than the surrounding restaurants in Ann Siang Hill.

PS Truffle Fries Truffles fries at PS Cafe is my one true love... What is good now is... Due to the large portion we always couldn't finish it... Now that they offer the ordering of half portion available helps us to not waste food and can order a variety to share as well ;)

PS Burger ($29) I heard mixed reviews about this dish and hesitated to order this. But with the option to upgrade to truffle fries with an addition of $5, I decided it was a good way to let me try their famed and loved fries without having to order the whole serving of it ($16). The truffle fries were so fragrant and crispy. Some restaurants' truffle fries smell like truffle and taste nothing like it. But there's no such thing here at PS cafe. The dish was accompanied by an aioli sauce which has a lemongrass fragrance to it, making it so addictive!! Now for the burger itself, the main star is the patty. There was no heavy tasting sauce or garnish to carry the dish. The meatyness of the patty and freshness of the beef were more than sufficient to make this burger one of my favourites at this price point.

Not worth the price! 馃ゴ Was honestly looking forward to trying this place but was utterly disappointed by their most famous dish the 鈥楨pic鈥 Beef Gyudon ($25++) it lacked flavour in the entire dish and its only saving grace was the foie gras. when we spoke to the waiter to ask if there was anything that could be done, he came back saying that 鈥渋t is supposed to taste like that鈥 and proceeded with a tub of truffle oil (LITERALLY THE OIL) on the side with a sauce that was meant for another dish. i was utterly disappointed not just with the quality of food i was paying at a steep price but also with the professionalism and customer service they provided!!! The Nanban ($9) was very average, the batter was heavy and thus it didn鈥檛 leave the fried chicken with a crisp airy feel. overall would rate it a 6.5/10. i was rather interested to try their other dishes such as the tempura kangkong and chicken bones. The best dish of the day was the Salmon Belly don ($18) which was on the seasonal menu. the salmon portions were huge and due to the cut of the salmon being the belly, it was extremely tender and flavourful. the flavours used were extremely well balanced & i was extremely satisfied with the dish. overall experience: service: 3/10 ambience: 7/10 quality of food: 6.5/10 would i go back? NOPE. especially because the only good dish is on a seasonal menu which will be gone soon.

Forest Wrap I'm not sure what I was thinking when I chose to order this vegetarian wrap ($18) rather than a more 'typical' main. But this was a quesadilla-esque wrap filled with zucchini, eggplant, mushroom and tomato with cheddar cheese. It was served with an artistic swipe of tomato sauce for that extra zing and a mesclun side salad with fruit. I couldn't help but think of Starbucks' egg white wrap as I was eating it haha. It was really good though, very flavorful with the saltiness and savoriness of the cheese melding well with the tanginess of the ratatoutille-inspired filling. The wrap was just nicely crisped and toasted, not too thick or doughy. Portion sizing was perfect. Its quite funny because the dish was served on a big metal disc. Interesting presentation. Also they serve a complimentary shot of fruit juice in test tubes and my iced Long Black ($6) is in a beaker. Most unique presentation accompanied by the whimsical, pastel colors of the cafe. I really enjoyed my dining experience here. 8/10

(Not) Just A Burger Just A Burger post to end my Phase 1 of Post-circuit breaker. Love the humble name but this is seriously not just any burger. The burger is so sinfully good. First off, the the size of this burger is so huge. The meaty wagyu patty, grilled to juicy medium rare, is so thick and full of flavour. The shots I captured did not do justice to the burger! 20% off on their online store with promo code at the moment. ApplePay is accepted as well on their online store, I appreciate because I don鈥檛 have to take out my card. Available for takeaway & delivery; Islandwide Delivery(min. 1 main) 鈥 Just A Burger $19.80

鈥楤ouillabaisse鈥 Seafood Stew An awesome stay home comfort food, NUDE Seafood鈥檚 鈥楤ouillabaisse鈥 Seafood Stew ($25.60) was such a treat!聽Chockfull of seafood-y goodness, it was聽loaded with tiger prawn, clams, cuttlefish, rouille, watercress, baby corn, desiree potato and a delightful hunk of fish (which i believe is barramundi). The fillet as well as the cuttlefish were tender and fresh-tasting. What I liked most was that the broth was聽richly textured yet delicately flavoured - getting the natural flavours of the ingredients, both sweet and tangy. The vegetables also provided a nice crunch and the crusty sourdough that came with the stew made the meal more hearty. *Islandwide delivery is available and they are having聽10% off storewide till 1 June, order from them directly to enjoy the deal.

Grandpa's Pomfret Soup ($16.80). This is Nude Seafood vision of the ultimate fish soup. Two premium fishes - threadfin, used in the rich thick collagen broth; and pomfret fish, served as the silky fish slices. Cooked with fried scallops and traditional Teochew accompaniments, it's very tasty, and very healthy. I don't think salt nor msg was added, it's as genuine as it tasted. 馃敻 This dish is created in honour of Junchen's grandpa. His grandpa sold fish along River Valley Road as a street hawker, before moving into a wet market at the first new town in Singapore, Queenstown. From there, to a small factory in Redhill, before moving to Jurong Fishery Port, where their factory is one of the only two factories within the port area. That's right, his family鈥檚 wholesale business is Hai Sia Seafood. 馃敻 This soup thus spans 3 generations of the Ang family. And for us, we get the best fish in this soup, because Junchen shared with me that he's always the first to pick the best seafood at his family鈥檚 seafood wholesale business. And you'll see that his pomfret is indeed more tender, more silky than most around.

It ain鈥檛 only the steaks that make the cut at CUT. After attending Mott32鈥檚 grand opening party at MBS, quite a few of us arrived at the same idea of hopping over to One-MICHELIN Starred CUT for a proper dinner. I wasn鈥檛 that hungry by then because I had stuffed my face on quite a few canap茅s earlier, so a steak or main course would have been too much. What I did do though was zero in on the appetisers instead. Shown above is the Steamed Mussels in White Wine ($25++). What I loved most about this was how small but juicy and flavourful the molluscs were (I have always found the large ones too rubbery for my liking personally). The broth had tarragon and shallots to thank for its lip-smacking worthiness. Served alongside were grilled baguettes that were meant to be dunked. Since they came pimped up with a rich bearnaise sauce, I guess technically, they didn鈥檛 go skinny-dipping 馃槣.

鈥淥ne Of Everything Please.鈥 ($24++ Per Dessert) Dessert was a sight to behold as the team marched out, each bearing a different one or part of one. Our group enjoyed the Valrhona Chocolate Souffl茅, cut open and filled with creme fraiche cream and gianduja chocolate gelato (never seen a souffl茅 plated that before till that night when Chef de Cuisine Brandon did it table-side). Also the Praline Mascarpone Bar and platter of Assorted Sorbets and Ice-creams. It was however, the Warm Butterscotch Apple Crumble and Kaya Baked Alaska, that bowled the dessert-lovers amongst us over. Served warm, the former was, and I am not exaggerating when I say this, pitch perfect in every way. The latter, an inspired take of Singapore鈥檚 favourite 鈥渒aya toast set鈥 was stunning albeit being on the sweeter side. Composed of coconut cake, pandan ice-cream and coconut sorbet clad in meringue, it was plated with coffee crumble and egg sabayon. All desserts at CUT are priced at $24++ each.

Stollen ($18) Kugel Christmas Special #3 馃巹 We grab this miniature Stollen (we reckon less than 30 cm in length) from @cutbywolfgangpucksg in the Epicurean Festive Market on 15th Dec and just had it today. The icing has been fully absorbed to the stollen and the bread texture has gone a bit dry. Not sure if we had it then, it would have been different. One thing we enjoy though is that it is not overly sweet (marzipan filling is also generous) 鈽猴笍
