Review: Wheeler’s Yard Tried the Porky Bowl + Ginger Lemonade [$24+/set]. I would say the drink is an acquired taste (My partner wasn’t too fond with the taste actually, but I’m okok with it). The Porky bowl is like any other Japanese Don, except the usual Pork Katsu is replaced with Bacon, which I have no complaints about since bacon is always good. But the steep price may deter me from going again, unless I use the burpple 1 for 1 to offset the cost.

60 Deg Chicken Breast ($18.90+) The dish is amazing. The chicken was tender even though it is the breast meat. The mashed potatoes exceeded my expectation and it had a very good consistency. Worthwhile to try with the burpple 1 for 1, otherwise price may be a bit steep (although the price is the usual cafe price).

Har cheong gai (虾酱 鸡) shrimp paste chicken') is a Singaporean fried chicken dish, consisting of fried chicken wings in a batter with fermented shrimp paste. It has been a long favourite of mine. . Featuring the Har Cheong Fried Chicken with waffles and sambal sauce S$15 from @grub.bishan Shrimp Paste marinated fried chicken with waffles, mixed greens and maple syrup. Aww I love how crispy the fried chicken is. The inside is very juicy and tender. The savoury fried chicken and the sweet maple sauce waffle complement each other! The greens make it such a balance dish. The portion was also very generous. . GRUB has 2 locations in tranquil Bishan - Ang Mo Kio Park and by the poolside at Home Team NS-JOM Clubhouse. Great place to hang out with friends and family in a casual warm, fun and welcoming environment. ============================ GRUB (Bishan) 📍510, Ang Mo Kio Ave 1 📍Bishan – Ang Mo Kio Park 📍Pond Gardens 📍Singapore 569983 📞+65 64595743 🕛MON-FRI: 11am –10pm 🕛SAT, SUN & PH: 9am – 10pm ============================ Blog: http://www.eatdreamlove.com ============================ Eatdreamlove made an anonymous visit and paid for the food reviewed ============================ #singapore #burpple

Mentaiko Fries ($7) Must try! Served warm with savoury yet milky mentai sauce. The portion was quite huge, abit jelat for me. Probably best shared among 3-4 people. My favourite place for early brunch as they open at 9 on the weekend & public holiday!

Cooking on Paper? Dinner Buffet 4 Pax: $121.95 ($30.50/Pax) It’s the first time I’ve grilled on paper before and the experience was... unsavoury... The meat would have a sort of “juice” ooze out (especially beef) and pool onto the paper which was damn disgusting. Plus, the paper heated up really slowly so the meat took longer than we were used to to fully cook. It also didn’t really take on that char-grilled flavour unless you burned it a bit and by then the meat would be grey and overcooked :-( The mashed potato and ice cream was surprisingly good however. The rice balls were pretty yummy. The Oreo cheesecake was so-so and I felt like the strawberry cheesecake was an odd flavour combination that did not really suit me. A small criticism I also have is that the lettuce was kind of small and were all broken up so it was hard to make wraps. The flavour of the pork was mediocre on its own and lacked depth. The garlic chicken was well seasoned but the others were not savoury enough for me. Service was average at best. Overall: 5.9/10 🍖🍽

Korean BBQ Meat Overload Awesome place for Korean BBQ all you meat lovers out there! The pork collar and beef are good 👍🏻 always loved to eat them dipped in chilli paste and garlic on a juicy lettuce leaf. But dipping with onion sauce is pretty tasty too! Paid ard $87 for three people. Pretty reasonable for a bbq buffet dinner. Down side: getting really thirsty later at night 🙁

As the menu says- “Probably the best Northern Indian restaurant in Singapore” For two people we ordered Chicken 65, Saffron Rice, Chili Chicken, Cheese Naan, and two Tiger beers. Spicy, without being overwhelming. S$65. Service was attentive and prompt. Would recommend and would return. 4/5 stars.

King of Tandoor, Tandoori Chicken ($14/Half) Tender fresh chicken thoroughly marinated in yogurt, rare spices, lime juice & saffron; and passionately barbecued in clay oven over burning charcoal. Result is the explosion of heart & belly-warming flavours bringing souls to the new world. If you believe in past life then trust that I always think I've been reincarnated into the wrong family, should've been born Indian since that's my all-time favourite cuisine (followed by Mexican) - but man are they expensive.
