Anyone fancies a healthy spinoff of our local favourite? Crunchy greens, succulent chunks of chicken paired with sweet crunchy cherry tomatoes that added a surprising tang that complemented the entire dish well, all with a bowl of warm fluffy brown rice. Cheers to good health 💪
Lightly seasoned and blanched sweet, fresh, large prawns from the market with some sotong. Only lightly blanched the sotong for a few seconds before scooping them out so they would remain soft and not too tough. How is it possible that anyone would dislike seafood..?
Specialty homemade goodness with my weekly cravings satisfied again! Huge fresh prawns, sotong, greens, mackerel fish slices and special fish roe that we discovered in the huge fish we bought from the market today! Love love it's creamy indulgent taste and how it curls and swirls up so beautifully in the hot soup 😋
Huge thick slab of goodness that was firm on the outside, yet being only medium rare and lightly cooked so that it would remain pinkish, chewy and soft on the inside. Felt like I was in heaven when it was in my mouth. Looks a bit like medium rare beef in the right picture eh?
Specially prepared by yours truly, a bowl of rice vermicelli (bee hoon) paired with random ingredients that I've been craving for the past schooling weeks (aka food that you can never get in school): 2 fresh and sweet large prawns, sotong, thick chunks of pork liver which were only medium rare and thus were firm on the first bite, but tender and chewy within, chicken chunks and fresh greens. Totally my best meal in weeks as my cravings were satisfied and this was so fresh and amazing. Honestly, where can you find this bizarre (yet delicious) combination outside?
Adorable vegetable shaped pasta lay underneath the generous topping of hard boiled eggs, fragrant butter-sautéed potatoes and sausages, which were later topped off with a special homemade mayo-based dressing. Carbo overload by Le sister!
Just good old warm, plain milk that's so ever comforting and necessary to make my breakfast a complete one.
This was the most priciest item on the menu, but perhaps (or not) worth the tag. 3 thick pancakes arrived drenched in maple syrup, bananas, ricotta cheese and crushed pistachios. Pancakes were dense and not the kind of fluffy airy kinds that I was expecting. Ricotta cheese went surprisingly well with the pancakes. However, give me Macs hot cakes any day and I would be contented with them already - airy and fluffy the way I like them.
Found this not really worth the price tag, though the poached eggs were really good and soft inside and bursted in one slurp, and smoked salmon and avocado went so good. Spread the avocado on top the multigrain toast and taste was perfect with some salmon atop! Pity the toast were over toasted, being dry and hard.
Perfectly toasted ciabatta that was crunchy on the outside and soft inside, laced with generous portions of beef and mozzarella cheese!
A creative and unique mix that can be rather bitter to some due to the infusion of lavender bits on top. Beautiful presentation otherwise! A tad pricey though.
A light soup base filled with fresh mackerel (batang) fish slices, prawns, squid and fish eggs (or roe) Fish slices were sliced too pathetically thin they literally broke when I tried to pick them up. Seafood was fine. But at least I get to satisfy my fish eggs cravings yum! Weekends are for indulging and splurging on my favourite cholesterol clogging foods.
