A blend of red bean and matcha. Didn't expect much from this so I found it pretty alright, although lacking in matcha flavour. Ideal for hot days when you feel like having something that tastes slightly lighter than their mango ice or power chendol. - 👴🏻 #burpple

What sets this bowl apart from most other stalls in Singapore is their flavourful broth and tender beef slices. Best broth and the best tender beef slices you can ever get with $5. Over time, understandably, my family and I formed a personal bond with skilled head chef Yajima san (I think I mentioned before that it was when he took over as head chef when the restaurant was still in Siglap that the food experiences started to pick up drastically). He was always very flexible with our food preparation and was constantly introducing us to seasonal food items and new ways of preparation. He was also honest with his food recommendations and would avoid serving us ingredients that he didn’t feel was up to standard in terms of quality. For some reason, and I don’t know what, chef Yajima is no longer working at Sushi Jiro and my parents were sorely disappointed with their latest dining experience there 😕 Not to bash on the new management and chef but as I said, I guess we have just gotten accustomed to the Japan chef Yajima introduced us to through his food. So, great appreciation to him wherever he may be now and I’m thankful for the birthday dinner and gift he prepared for me before he left ☺️ - 👵🏻 #burpple #throwback

Had already read mixed reviews of this place before visiting so I definitely tried this with balanced expectations. Many people would say that this is simply ‘atas’ prawn noodles but I honestly beg to differ. It tastes like a richer version of that, no doubt, but the ramen does carry a flavor that is distinctive from the local prawn noodles. I really enjoyed the thick ebi fragrance and taste that came with the shoyu version of this ramen (which is also their most recommended). And who can say no to such a perfect ajitama egg 😂👌🏻 If I have to critique on something, it would probably be the lack of the usual chashu that I’m used to.
