Given the long queues I see at both the Albert & people’s park outlets, I probably had too high expectations. This was decent, but there was nothing that made me go ‘omg this is damn good’. I liked the ngoh hiang & prawn ball the best iirc. May try it a second time to check if my first impression holds :p
This was one of my favourite under their family of cruffin flavours in store! 💜💜💜💜💜

[NEW‼️‼️‼️] 💁🏻♀️
1️⃣ Purple sweet potato cruffin: SGD5 🍠
- Crispy and flaky on the outside, generously filled with their homemade sweet potato paste. I thought the flavour was quite distinctive - (Good thing here it wasn’t sweet!) There was no denying in it’s deliciousness. PS: Please consider making this permanent on the menu 🙇🏻♀️☺️

While the initial taste of the cake was full of rose flavour, the addition of a attap seed gave a textural difference to the usual cheesecake we normally have
The cheesecake, even though not overwhelmingly sweet, was really rich so I recommend sharing with a friend.
Came here for the burnt cheese cake after seeing raving reviews on social media. We had the two face burnt cheese cake and it was indeed awesome! We also had the kopi susu (chinese style latte) which was something different but a double shot will be good too bad the staff doesn’t know what that mean. The place is a bit cramp and narrow not very comfortable to hang around for long. They do have some other bakeries up for grab and free wifi. Will certainly come back for the burnt cheese cake but probably to go.
One of the good-looking pastries I found at Keong Saik Bakery 🙃

Ordered XLB (10 for $6) and 红油抄手/red oil chilli vinegar wantons (10 for $4.50). XLBs are decent and affordable, although I still prefer paradise dynasty's. The 红油抄手 is amazing though - savory and slightly spicy. Just ate at the Alexandra Food Centre's Shang Hai La Mian XLB a couple of days ago and that paled in comparison to this. This was the first place that I tried 红油抄手 - guess the bar has already been set extremely high.
They only sell one item here which is the standard chendol at $2. It is traditional style with rice jelly & red beans with coconut milk & gula melaka drizzled on the bowl of ice. Taste is just nice, not too sweet; perfect for an after meal dessert or to cool down in the hot weather.
Cause I gymmed, I deserve this okay. Hahaha, dam shiok though! This stall (Cantonese Delights) is always popular, even on a quiet Sunday like today.
The sauce almost seem contradictory – light yet gao and full of flavour, it's a curry sauce you won't get sick of. And for $4? That giant slab of chicken was awesome with its crisp skin and tender meat. Only gripe is the slightly overlooked veg, but hey, you aren't eating this for the greens anyway. 🤷♂️
Merci Marcel’s second outlet has opened at Club Street. It also has a Parisian inspired décor and boasts a space of 1,250 sq ft.

Stracciatella di bufala is a cheese produced from Italian buffalo milk using a stretching and a shredding technique. It is the thin strands of mozzarella soaked in fresh cream; the milky, creamy, dangerously oozy filling found beneath an outer shell of mozzarella in burrata.
The Stracciatella di bufala has a dip like texture and taste really great with the pita bread!
Loved this dish! Never had burrata served with onion marmalade, truly an awesome combination! Pesto was so so good as well! I find myself scooping the burrata and adding copious amount of onion marmalade and pesto with each mouthful. Divine with the crusty bread and a sip of pinot grigio

Comments: noodles were springy, al dente to perfection, chilli sauce mixed with vinegar packs a punch in every bite! Generous portion of noodles and toppings be it the pork balls, minced pork or wanton, not to mention the thinly packed wanton which was juicy and loaded with marinated minced pork mixed with vegetables and chestnut, that’s adds a crunchy dimension in it! Give it a try if you have not! 😋😋 #burpple
