it’s always packed at lunchtime but anw food was good, second time here alr! i rmb their avocado toast was so so good too but then serving size was kinda small and i was hungry :-[ so went for their pasta instead. sauce was vv smooth and creamy with generous serving of grated cheese and the runny egg was 😍

cold brew was not bad too but personally i prefer stronger roasts so idk

friend ordered a chicken salad and serving was decent and super fresh! chicken not bad too but only 4 pieces ahaha oops

i wanna go back again too to try their other brunch stuff i saw the other tables ordered and it looked soo tempting

using burpple 1 for 1, tried their assembly burger and beef ragout for only 25++

assembly burger was good with really nicely toasted bun and the beef was exactly medium rare as i requested, super juicy and delicious! good burger steak. came paired with a humongous serving of curly fries, good for sharing otherwise might be a bit too much, along with some greens. provided lots of chilli and ketchup sauces too

beef ragout had a generous amount of beef but i preferred the pasta because the beef became slightly tough and hard to swallow after a while, though the meat sauce is super yummy. pasta was the chewy kind that i like and not too soggy and overcooked.

had free jug of water included in service charge. ambience on a friday afternoon was quiet and nice and really not many people at all. staff were friendly and helpful too and familiar with burpple

solid 8/10 but from probably not more either idk

went for a visit because it was nearby and had burpple 1 for 1 mains + drink + dessert

tried jumbo bbq beef burger and chicken cutlet curry omu rice. burger patty was thick and quite juicy, not bad and there was plenty of bbq sauce (a bit too much for me but great if you like it). as seen the salad side was one leaf and one tomato slice and a squirt of mayo haha. tapioca chips were ok i guess.

omu rice had a lot of egg and little rice in comparison, but tasted okay, chicken cutlet was more moist and the outer skin wasn’t really crispy. curry and vegetables were also just so so i would say.

the crepes (earl grey and belgian choc) were ok! though the earl grey had cream that was slightly watery. belgian choc was very chocolatey which i liked more.

ice latte is also normal but mildly diluted. however their ice chocolate was incredibly diluted and had a weird sweetness to it, do not recommend at all.

overall food i’d say was a 2.5/5 and unlikely to return even with burpple, though the location was quiet and nice ambience in general, staff also friendly

with burpple 1 for 1 this was a super good deal especially considering their really large portions (i was so filled and couldn’t finish the fries) and fish had thin crispy batter skin and inside was soft warm and flaky. ordered their standard dory because it was decent enough for me but there are other fish options too if you prefer tilapia or something. nice sides to choose from too, and free flow sauces like ketchup and chilli and some malt vinegar?

also tried their crispy chicken chop and actually had really nice crispy skin along with tender meat! i’m not the biggest fan of chicken so i prefer the fish but objectively it was good.

was in a kopitiam setting but luckily today wasn’t too hot so was great experience overall for this price point. would have tried their sides like sweet potato fries if i could, but was too full to
