While walking around City Square Mall, i decided to check out this relatively new burger joint and was pleasantly surprised by how good (and not to mention affordable) the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Burger was.

The fried chicken patty was juicy and tender, drenched in a savoury salted egg sauce and came in a generous portion too for its price. The only complaint i had was that there were very limited side dish options (the only choices were onion rings or baked japanese sweet potato).

I’ll definitely be back again if i’m craving for some burgers.

My colleagues and I stopped by here for lunch, and we got a burnt chicken chilli bowl, fried chicken bowl, seared salmon bowl and Lu Rou Fan (priced at $10++ during lunch). My burnt chicken chilli bowl was super flavorful and the charred bits were done well, but it got a bit gelat towards the end. Would be better if there were other ingredients like veges to balance out the heaviness of the dish. Portion sizes were huge and overall it’s worth a try during lunchtime.

Tried the Aburi salmon and gyudon, both were sinfully good and richly-flavoured, though it got a bit gelat after awhile. Worth it with Burpple beyond’s 1-for-1, will be back to try their other donburis

A hidden gem offering value-for-money dimsum! Must-trys include the decadent Salted Egg Yolk custard buns and the Crispy Mee Sua Kueh with Chinese Sausage. Will be back to try the Steamed Crispy Rice Roll and Shrimp and Japanese dumplings next!

We got the fried pierogi and smoked duck dumplings and they were both so good! The pierogi - smoked bacon, caramelised onions and truffle-infused potato with cheddar encased in golden-fried crispy skin. The smoked duck - moist and flavorful duck meat mixed with caramelised leek and mushroom bits, wrapped in crispy pan-fried skin with hoisin sauce. Sooo yummy, I want to try their original, Sichuan and curry flavour next! But one thing to note is their waiting time, can be 30-40 min during lunchtime without a reservation.
