My personal favourite was their Chicken Teriyaki Donburi. I never liked Donburis as the rice or meat usually ends up too dry for me, but at @viiogastropub I found out they prepare their ingredients just half an hour before service which leaves the meal served fresh, moist and juicy. .

I don’t usually strive towards Cantonese or Teochew cuisine but I truly did enjoy the food served at East Bistro @ MyVillage.

Helmed by Chef Tony Wong who used to spearhead Michelin starred restaurant Lei Garden, you can be assured you’ll have a great dining experience at East Bistro. Maybe even as a consideration for Chinese New Year!

First up, I’ve got to try their Sweet and Sour Pork on Ice and it was interesting as it didn’t have a lot of the game-y taste but more of its sauce flavoured batter.

The Steamed Garoupa in HK style was nothing short of flavour, as the fish was fresh. .
Of course, no meal is complete without desserts as I personally loved the Sesame Balls which are actually hollow inside, and when you bite into it you get a warm and crispy but chewy skin too! It is uniquely prepared and can only be found at East Bistro.

🇬🇧: Ragu Sikdang (라구식당) @ragu_pasta located in Sinchon, only really serves two main dishes: Ragu Pasta (13,000KRW) and Lasagna (14,000KRW). You can get much better pastas out of Korea but if you are staying here for the long term and need an alternative from your usual Korean meals, this place is worth considering if you are in the vicinity.

If you’ve experienced pasta served in Korea, they tend to be a little bit more watery (maybe to adapt to the local palate). But the one prepared at Ragu Sikdang is not that watery which leads it to pack a lot of flavours in one mouthful.

Not your typical fruit tea as you’ve got cheese foam on top, which gives an interesting mix of fruity and cheesy flavours! ($5.90) It was ready refreshing as I finished the cup faster than I expected!

Tried this Skirt Steak (RM 35.90), while I was expecting the typical western grilled style steak, I was pleasantly surprised by their interpretation as it almost resembles Beef Carpaccio. Definitely an interesting dish to give a try, if you want an alternative to the usual brunch options and also the super reasonable price point for a steak.
