Mochi Soy Creme Tea Latte Before I head to the Land of Bubble Tea in a few more days, I just have to have my boba fix! So, drawn to the warm mochi skewers, I got the Mochi Soy Creme Tea Latte ($5.80) at Wanpo Tea Shop. Tender and chewy, the mochi skewers were pleasantly soft and complementary to the fluffy soy creme. The sweetness was just right for me though the tea flavour was a tad too mild (even without ice). The soybean powder was a nice touch as it added some nutty flavour to the smooth concoction. The foam was also pretty fragrant and provided that extra decadence to the tea latte.

Not a real 1-for-1 deal Been here several times. Food here is 10/10. However, did not appreciate that they have a separate price menu for burpple user without informing us. This menu is priced higher than their normal menu. Ultimately only saved ~$5 as compared to 2 mains from their original menu.

Good bowl of Chirashi Easy fix for a bowl of chirashi. What's funny is that they have a separate pricing menu for those using the Burrple 1 for 1, the prices for it was being jacked up. Strange thou.

Chicken Cheese Meatball It's just same meatball ($8.50) that we have bought from supermarket but the tomato pasta sauce is quite unique tbh to dip with.

Grilled lamb chop with sausage, spaghetti and salad HUGE portion, great value esp under 1 for 1 promo. 1 portion is actually enough for 2 small eaters. Unlike some eateries where they give lesser under promo, El Carbon is really generous!! Extremely impressed that the lamb was grilled to perfection and it was so tender! Easily slices off the bone. Need to pair with spaghetti as lamb and sausage is a little on the salty side. Salad serving is also very generous. Love it that the menu is extensive and affordable. Would definitely come back again to try their other foods.

Burratina Orriechiete Delicious! Portions were good (not too large). I really appreciate their service staff. For this pasta 1-1, we also tried Carbona - it was very creamy and delicious, nice bacon. Easy to make reservations through Burrple/Chope.

Pizza Pancetta E Jalapeno $30++ My favourite pizza because I absolutely love anything with bacon and cheese! What’s even better was the white cream sauce they use instead of tomato sauce as the base sauce for the pizza, which gave the pizza the creamy and cheesy boost on top of the cheese toppings and made the whole pizza so flavourful with the bacon and the chewy pizza crust.

Good ice cream Premium flavours @ $5.20 with burpple beyond deal. We got hokkaido strawberry milk and apple yakult, flavours that are less found in other places. The former was mild and creamy, while the latter was a bit sour but refreshing. The serving was generous and enjoyable.

Double Scoop Besides the photo-worthy neon signs, Icebar offers a limited selection of gelatos with unique flavours. They are also open late till 2AM on Fridays to Sundays for you to get some late-night ice cream. The gelato here is priced at $4.20 for a classic scoop, $5.20 for premium, $6.20 for super premium flavours and additional scoops for $3.70. I went with their recommended flavour of grape Yakult (premium) which was supposed to be light on the palate while Binggrae banana (premium) for something milky. The grape Yakult flavour feels light with a very faint grape Yakult flavour. I would love it if they add more grape Yakult into it. The Binggrae banana was creamy and milky, something expectable and not too far off from the actual beverage. Thanks to Burpple Beyond, we get to enjoy 2 Scoops for the price of 1 ✌ (U.P $5.20/scoop)

😃😃😃 never coming back… food was not up to standard at all. pizza’s crust was so thin and the cheese pizza had a weird taste to it. their gnocchi was so mushy, didnt even taste like gnocchi to me. their seafood risotto was probably one of the better dishes we had. tried this beef tangel sth noodles which had a good flavour but the pasta texture was not there. overall rlly bad.

Dumplings ($8/12 Pieces). What surprised us here were in fact the dumplings since they weren’t the specialty at Huo La La. Unexpectedly, the pork meat was quite well marinated, cooked till juicy with slight amount of broth wrapped within the dumpling skin. Amidst the savory, there was a touch of sweetness in the broth. Chinese Flat Bread With Braised Pork/Chicken Filling ($5.80 each). 1-for-1 with #burpplebeyond! Widely known as 肉夹馍, we were excited to see a burpple beyond deal offering this traditional 陕西 snack at Upper Thomson. While perhaps no one has used the deal before, staff were slightly confused but were friendly to help us check out the terms and conditions. Housed under Chongqing Grilled Fish, but note that the Roujiamo is offered under Huo La La in the menu. The flat bread here has various options of fillings; braised pork, chicken, beef or you could even have it plain. We went with the braised pork and chicken fillings. While they look rather similar with the meat diced, we felt that the chicken tasted better in terms of its marination that was more flavorful. However, the flat bread tasted more like a 葱油饼 instead of a 馍 that’s usually more like a flour-based bread than a flaky prata. Nonetheless, we enjoyed 2 flat breads at the price of 1, thanks to Burpple Beyond!
