Smoked Salmon Rosti Enjoy the food and ambiance here! I was quite surprise when I found out that there is a cafe that is only a short walking distance from Lavender, probably less than 5 minutes? Wagyu Beef Don 4⭐ Craving for egg benedict and found this cafe in burpple app which serves egg benedict. Moreover there's 1 for 1 in the burpple app and furthermore there's 35% booster cashback this week. The egg benedict is on point but I was served the bacon instead of salmon which I have ordered. They took back the dish and served the correct order. WB ordered mushroom bacon aglio olio which is spicy for me but he loves it. @pinky_kitty_snow ordered the wagyu beef don which is not bad but Waa Cow has set the bar too high. With how fabulous their dumplings were, we came very close to completely neglecting Dumpling Darlings’ noods. It’s no fault of the noodles of course which were honestly plenty delicious, if not outshone by the 🥟 We had the braised pork noodles: pretty generous portion of tasty braised meat + nori + ramen egg + spring onions + homemade noodles. I really really liked the noodles. They were cooked just right — springy, qq, with a good bite — and reminded me of good ramen noodles actually, so much that I had to remind myself I wasn’t having mazesoba. I would’ve liked a little more punch and oomph (by way of lard preferably imma fatty), but I was so impressed with the texture of the noodles I ain’t complaining.

Lunch Set ($16++) Ordered 2 lunch sets. Miso mushroom noodles, smoked duck dumplings and longan osmanthus pu erh Szechuan noodles, fried pierogi dumplings and grapefruit strawberry green tea. I expected the miso mush noodles to taste quite hawker centre-ish, but it exceeded my expections. Noodle portions were just nice, with a lot of well seasoned button mushrooms. My friend who tried the szechuan noodles loved it, especially the szechuan spice. Smoked duck dumpling contained lots of duck bits, which complemented the oyster sauce provided. The fried pierogi dumplings really impressed me! I loved the mashed potato filling, but especially their spicy creamy sauce!! On the other hand, drinks were so so, tastes like what you would think it will taste. Will be back for the dumplings platter! 5/5, worth the money!

While dumplings weren’t what I wanted to eat right outta CB I gotta say they made my first post-CB meal out mega fine 🤤 We had their Fried Pierogi (4 pc) as part of a lunch set and an a la carte Original (5 pc), and both were so good we almost — just almost — forgot about their noodles. This pan-fried OG of minced pork collar and napa cabbage was very much a gyoza: super juicy insides literally bursting at a first bite, crisp and thin skins barely (but perfectly) holding all of that in. So good, nothing for me to possibly pick on at all.
