Lower quarter of chicken (ไธๅบ๏ผ
The chicken is succulent and their flavoured soya sauce is still one of the best around.
The Roasted Pistachio is made with 100% Italian pistachio and is studded with more nuts while the Richest Dark Chocolate Ferrero consists of dark chocolate ice cream with crushed hazelnuts. Both were redolent with their respective flavors.
My dining partners liked the incredibly rich bittersweet flavor of the Dark Chocolate Ferrero while I liked the singularly exotic nutty flavor of the Roasted Pistachio. I loved that the ice cream is so thick, creamy, literally coating the back of the spoon in their perfect texture.
The ice cream melts slightly in contact with the warm waffles, which are...heavenly as usual. ๐ Made to order, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.

Throwback to few weeks back. Seasonal fresh fish from that dayโs special menu.
This is a huge ass bowl. It was so heavy, I had trouble shifting it, much less lifting it. Some of the sashimi included in this platter are: otoro, chutoro, akami, salmon, tako, ika, scallop & ikura.
Their standard is still the same ๐. The beef rendang is the must order!!
The kitchen is managed by Auntie Suk, who herself is from Northern Thailand, and the food that you are going to get will have a variety of Northern Thai dishes, especially from the Chiang Rai area. From the appetizersโ section, you can order to share the Thai Fried Chicken Wings ($10) or if you feel like trying something different, go for the Nam Prik Ong, translated to Thai Red Spicy Tomato Minced Pork Dip ($10) which comes with pork crackling. The people in the Isan region love their meat salad and you can get the Grilled Pork Salad ($14) to tingle your tastebuds a little before the mains arrive. When it comes to mains, there are a variety of dishes such as the Thai Fish Maw Soup ($14), Red Tom Yum Soup with Prawn ($12/$24) or even the Fried Sea Bass with Sukโs Thai Chilli ($28), which will go perfect with a bowl of rice. The tom yum might come across as sourer and slightly sweeter than what you will usually get outside, which is a unique preparation in Northern Thailand.
When it comes to my favourites of the night, the unanimous votes go to the Goong Ob Woon Sen aka Glass Noodle with Prawns ($12) and Goong Phad Pong Karee aka Stir-Fried Yellow Curry Prawn ($16), both downright ridiculously good. The glass noodles have the wokhei aroma and all the natural sweetness from the prawns and sauces get soak into the noodle, making every slurp a satisfying one. The yellow curry prawn is very similar to our chilli crab and the sauce that is cooked with the prawns is calling out for some rice to go with it, or even a suggestion of my own to provide fried mantou for dipping. If you are around the area, do drop by Sukโs Thai Kitchen to satisfy your Thai food craving.

Easties, swing by Downtown East for slightly sweet and spicy Budae Jigae ($13.90 per pax with a min. of two pax). Choose two main ingredients from chicken sausage, sliced beef, cheese, mushrooms or mussels โ a good combination would be cheese with mussels. The stew comes with tteokbokki, odeng, kimchi and eggs. Pro-tip: Do not leave the stew boiling for too lest the ingredients start sticking to the bottom of the pot!

Finally tried this! The Grilled Chicken Chop ($5.90)had the right amount of char and the herb potatoes was one of the best roasted potatoes that I've tried. It had a really flavourful savoury crisp on the outside, and creamy on the inside. The mushroom rice was lacklustre though. The handmade meatballs ($5.80) we ordered on the side came with 6-7 meatballs and you can taste that they were freshly made!
In short, this is definitely a notch above any Hawker centre western food but I queued 1h for this (it's normal to do so, as all items are made to order) and I wouldn't think it is worth an hour's wait? Half hour wait is fine ๐

I went to Luna awhile back, but finally got around to reviewing the cakes!! We were lucky to get a seat in the little shop space after a 15-20 minute wait on a weekday afternoon. We tried 3 cakes, of which my favourite was the ๐๐ฎ๐ณ๐ฎ ๐๐ก๐๐๐ฌ๐๐๐๐ค๐ (๐๐๐$๐) - which I rate a 9.5/10!! ๐คค super unique flavour which is a HUGE plus for me, and also REALLY well executed - I could taste the lovely cream cheese with citrus notes, smell the yuzu fragrance and the cake was not too jelak nor cloyingly sweet too! ๐ Only downside is how small the slice is but maybe im just greedy ๐คช๐ท
Next, we also tried the highly-raved ๐๐ซ๐ก ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ค๐ (๐๐๐$๐) - which Iโll rate a 7.5/10? While I generally enjoyed it and rly appreciated how pretty and AESTHETIC the cake is ๐คฉ๐คฉ, I felt that the rich and โgaoโ texture (that I look for when it comes to orh nee) was lost in the cake.... and the flavour didnโt come off strong enough for me ๐ But maybe its just personal preference cos I know a lot of people love this cake!! It was no doubt v fluffy and i liked the yam bits in the cake too โบ๏ธ
I also really liked the ๐๐ก๐จ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐๐ญ๐ ๐๐ฉ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐จ๐จ๐ฌ ๐๐๐ค๐ (๐๐๐$๐)!! I rate this a 8.5/10 - I could really taste the spice in the Speculoos buttercream layer which i LOVED ๐คค๐ The dark chocolate cake layers were also rich, yet not too heavy. Overall, a super enjoyable cake!
Iโd return to Luna again soon, loved the ambience in the cafe and the cakes are rly SUPER yummy!! ๐คค I just wished the FOH staff was a bit more friendly and patient when greeting customers, did not experience the best customer service ๐ lovely cakes though! โบ๏ธ
Spicy and fragrance stir-fried basil chicken served with an egg and rice.

Homemade ban mian with spicy chilli and generous serving of mince meat ingredients! Love it
On the other hand, their lemon pistachio tea cake ($8) was a crowd favourite! The cake was moist with hints of pistachio, the lemon frosting tangy and sharp. It was well accompanied by pomegranate, which lent a touch of sweetness.
