The best dish was the charashi for its nice raw cut sashimi. Found out that adding the wasabi sauce to the rice makes it nice. But the rice is overcooked. Not sure if that is done on purpose. Bought the Beyond subscription for $51 for them cos they have a 1 for 1. Slight confusion in the ordering process when 2 waitresses say its 1 for 1 for main dish only and the other say its 1 for 1 for main and side dishes. In the end we switch from soft shell crab side dish (~$11) to tendon main dish. Tendon (~$15) main dish is ok only. Wondered if we made a mistake to 'maximise' the 1 for 1. Overall, still a good meal.

No, you shouldn't need much convincing to come here. Just cross the road after your lovely meal at Kilo at Pact at Orchard Central, and park yourself at this bar along Emerald Hill. You can have as riotous or as tame a night as you please here, just know that from 9pm to 1am, the Marvellous Martinis are 1-for-1. Think Choya, Lychee, or Wintermelon Martinis at just $19 for two. Yes. Do it. At least twice. And then order their famed Har Cheong Gai at 1am to tame peckish pangs that the free flow of peanuts can’t sate. ;) You're most welcome!

After your mouth-numbing, fiery dinner at Chong Qing, skip over to Ah Chew Desserts just a few doors down on Liang Seah for a respite. Douse the flames with a classic Mango Sago with Pomelo ($4.20), Grass Jelly with Logan ($3) or Honeydew Watermelon Sago ($3.30). If you're up for something different, give the Water Chestnut with Egg and Chinese Herbal Jelly ($4) a go. For a warm, comforting bowl, the Fresh Milk Steamed Egg or a foolproof Black Sesame Paste (from $2.40) will do the trick. Open till 12:30am on Fridays, you can gather around for a good chat in this cosy spot. There's something calming about this tiny space, perhaps its the Chinese paintings hanging on the walls, or the dark wood furniture — it sends you to another place and time.

Sated with chicken rice and ready for a good night, Nickeldime is the perfect chill-out spot you're looking for, just a short walk across from Novena Square. It beckons you silently with its optimistic neon sign out front promising "BEER", and delivers with 15 international craft beers on tap, and many more bottled ones to choose from. The beer menu is ever-changing, but you can always rely on a good range of ciders, ales and lagers. Best part is, if you're hankering for a dessert after all that chicken, you can kill two birds with one stone here with their Beer Waffle — a light dessert with nuts, berries, and nougatine. The place instantly puts you at ease with its brick walls, an adorable mural of a beer-guzzling octopus, and super friendly staff who are more than happy to help you find a beer you'll love.

This particular Tung Lok Seafood outlet at Orchard Central offers a lesser known Chinese and Japanese lunch buffet that might just be right up your alley. For just $26.80 on weekdays and $28.80 on weekends, there are fresh, thick cuts of salmon sashimi for the seafood fanatics in your family, comforting dim sum for the folks and the crowd favourite of salted egg yolk fish skin to munch on in between changing plates. It's best to gather a larger group for this (there's also a minimum seating of four persons) so you can try more items on the menu! Other note-worthy items include the Crispy Eggplant with Pork Floss, Fried Beancurd Skin Rolls with Shrimps and Deep-fried Prawns with Crispy Oats. End your meal with the refreshing Herbal Jelly with Honey — if you still have space, that is!

One of my favourite salted egg dishes. They actually cook this dish with pork ribs. But I prefer chicken so I always request a chicken version when i visit. MUST TRY. This is major ❤❤❤.

Food is alright, not fantastic. The place is rather quiet from the other food court in the same block.

Hey, I didn't know that I can only take 1 photo. So this is the proper food photo. The prawn aglio olio is good but the ice lemon tea is average. $22.50 for both is slightly expensive but since this is a Friday night...
Cosy place which is filled to the brim. I literally had the last seat at this place. Baghdad street is an unknown charming place in Singapore. Somehow I think the owner take pride in his food even if it is the last order. I should come here and play games with my friends one day.

I'm at the pre eating stage now. First, this place is damn hard to find. I walk all the way from Fu Lu Shou building besides Bugis Village to reach here in 25 minutes. Second, the ice lemon tea is expensive at $5.50. I only bought it cos I'm tired walking and didn't really ask for the price properly. Third, this place is quite popular given the crowd.
After trying the olio oligo, I can understand why this place is popular. Its done quite nicely and its the last dish of the day. The owner was saying the kitchen was closed but I pleaded saying that I walked a long way to this place.

It is cheap. Comes with only ice lemon tea. The MAC and cheese is so delicious!
