Served with Milk softserve by default, I requested for a change to Soymilk which the staff gladly obliged to. Stably nestled on a base of coffee-infused ladyfinger biscuit that was soft and fluffy, the softserve was smooth, creamy with a subtle albeit aromatic soy flavour. The presence of mascarpone cream at the side might seem as a calefare here but it certainly enhanced the flavour profile, smooth and luscious while adding a pleasant tinge of sweetness to the characteristic bitter undertone of caffeine here. My initial skeptism of this mediocre-looking place ended up as a blessing in disguise, which I am glad to have indulged in with no regrets during my remaining last few days in Seoul! 😋👍🏻 .

Flavour of the month for June, this black sorbet featured here is actually a lemon sorbet in disguise, coming with a refreshing tangy note 🍋. An option to also add on for the black waffle cone that not only comes insta-worthy but was crisp and a good complement to the creamy scoops of delight (I actually polished it all off, defying my usual habit of empty cones disposal 🤭). Though a sorbet, the texture was light yet not too icy, retaining a slight creamy mouthfeel🖤. As for the other scoop, I chose Ice Jolly Pong, which was actually the flavour of the month for May. Was initially skeptical about the taste, as I was totally clueless on what Jolly pong is or taste like. Upon further research online, I actually discovered it’s actually a Korean breakfast cereal- popped kernels made from whole-wheat, high in dietary fibre as well! Swirled in a milk based ice-cream, the flavour comes off as one that held a subtle roasted note coupled with a tinge of bittersweet coffee-like aroma.
The pairing with the black (lemon) sorbet resulted in a two-dimensional sweet and sour combination that wasn’t too bad after all! 👍🏻 .
[PS: Black sorbet is only available till 30 June] .

💖 With it’s pleasant, lingering aroma of floral, citrusy notes amidst the distinct, prominent bergamot tea flavour, the earl grey cake was also sufficiently moist, alternately layered with a substantial amount of smooth earl grey cream resting on a base of crispy chocolate feuillitine that contributed to a pleasant crunch factor for the palate. Secretly hoping my next birthday cake can be this but unfortunately the export back to my hometown is mission impossible 😭 .

2️⃣ Tiramisu tarte [6000KRW ~>$7.20]
Though this paled in comparison to the Earl grey cake, it was still decently enjoyable, comprising of smooth mascarpone cream cheese within the coffee-infused ladyfinger biscuits that was soft, fluffy with a bittersweet flavour. Would have been better if the coffee flavour and aroma was more prominent here. The tart crust was firm, solid and crisp albeit lacking in a buttery fragrance that I would have adore.
On a side note, I am certainly looking forward to my revisit before I leave Seoul to check out their other cake offerings (saw that there is MATCHA flavour too 😍) and most probably back for the Earl grey cake again! 😋 .

😋💖Coupled with a piquant cheesy flavour which provided a well-balanced, two dimensional tone of flavours to the well-marinated, tender fried chicken, be sure to grab your fork and lift up some cheese before it gets hardened up! 🧀✨Also, the chicken are boneless here which I personally prefer for convenient and fuss-free consumption .
2️⃣ Honey butter chicken 🍯[13900KRW ~> SGD$16.70]
Served with a small portion of fries, the honey butter chicken came with a golden brown crisp exterior, along with tender and juicy boneless chicken meat. The honey butter coating provided a pleasant tinge of sweetness that was surprisingly a good combination to the savoury fried chicken, imagine the honey butter chips but with crispy fried chicken tenders instead. //
Complimentary pickled radish and crackers are also served along with the fried chicken, serving as a good palate cleanser and appetizer respectively. One of the best fried chicken (imo) in Seoul that offers a variety of unique & interesting flavour (swipe to the end to view the menu) , which appeals to the adventurous me! 👍🏻 .

🍵💚 An underrated place imo, without much online reviews that I can find- thank goodness as otherwise I would have to struggle with a queue or ‘fight’ with a potential crowd in an attempt to secure the best lighting table🤭. Made a revisit after I saw on instagram that the tarts which I have wanted to try back then were now available, which comes in a huge size but was so good and impressive that I polished one whole portion and a beverage all by myself! 👍🏻😋 Love the solid, firm and crisp tart shell that comes with a lingering and aromatic buttery fragrance 💖. The matcha tart (made using matcha powder from Jeju) came with a surprisingly distinct earthy flavour profile, coupled with a subtle lingering bitter undertone which I adore 💚. On the other hand, the cream cheese tart was also remarkably impressive, a smooth and luscious cream cheese filling within the crisp tart shell that reminds me of a cheesecake! 💛 As for the earl grey milk tea, I opted for Dark (less sugar) which came with a characteristic floral aroma that was subtle, perfuming up the milk tea with its whiff of fragrant scent. Not too bad but I would prefer if the beverage was less milky with a more intense flavour profile. Shall stick to the safer option of Matcha latte (dark) on my next visit! 😉 . With the limited number of days left in my trip here, it’s time to plan a last return trip here before I depart from the land of Kimchi! ✨ .

✨ A marble chocolate cake layered with cream cheese, this was adorned with a vibrant and sparkling galaxy cream, drizzled in what seems like raspberry sauce; the pink hue seemed somewhat artificial but oh well... The cake was sufficiently moist, alternately layered with substantial amount of checkered cream cheese within. Surprisingly not too cloying as well, with the artificial but gorgeous looking ‘raspberry sauce’ adding a tangy note. The galaxy cream was a 💯 for its aesthetics but flavour wise, decent (as expected). One thing about this cake that left me impressed was how it’s flavour was not compromised with the instagram-worthy aesthetics, unlike some cakes which are just-for-the-gram that I would be prepared to give up with one or two bites. Though a huge slice, I managed to polish the whole portion off, apart from the galaxy cream 😅 .
2️⃣ Red velvet cake [7000KRW ~> $8.40]
Listed as one of the best sellers, this cake didn’t disappoint but wasn’t impressive either. The red velvet cake in silo was a tad dry for my liking but fortunately with the addition of cream cheese atop and within it did help alleviate the dry mouthfeel, adding a pleasant tinge of luscious sweetness as well! 💖 Though the cream cheese was the highlight here after all, it could get a tad overwhelming and cloying after awhile. Hence I would personally (and highly) recommend sharing it.
3️⃣ Royal milk tea bottle milk [4500 KRW ~> $5.40]
Perhaps the most pocket-friendly pricing of beverages in cafes here Seoul far, which also comes in a glass jar bottle that you can takeaway too! 😉 Perfumed with a lingering, floral aroma, the royal milk tea was fragrant, though a tad sweet for me, hence requesting for a a cup of ice at the side might be advisable .

Finally found a decent matcha latte in Seoul that lives up to expectation! 🍵💚With the option of No Sugar or Dark(minimal sugar) which I opted for the latter, this is bound to satisfy all hardcore matchaholics like me 🤭. Swipe to view how the matcha milk tea is prepared, whisked on the spot upon order, giving it a vibrant dual tone of colours that’s pleasant for the sight (and sense of course)! Love the distinct earthy notes that came with a lingering bitter undertone. On the other hand, the roasted green tea milk tea (aka. houjicha latte) paled in comparison, with the roasted, earthy notes being less prominent and somewhat diluted from the copious amount of ice added. Perhaps it would be good to reduce the amount of ice or increase the intensity of Houjicha flavour here. Do not get me wrong though, it’s still good, just not good enough to satisfy hardcore tea lovers like me😅. Tarts weren’t available the other day when I came (which I heard is available now), hence we settled for the terrine, which resembled petite size brownies, thick and fudgy. The houjicha flavour was more prominent in the terrine as compared to the matcha one, with a subtle albeit lingering roasted fragrance. Matcha terrine leaned towards the sweeter side, perhaps due to the addition of white chocolate, which was more milky and less distinct in its characteristic earthy flavour profile. On a side note, the minimalistic vibes of this teahouse cum cafe interior makes it a peaceful, tea-rrific place to sit back, enjoy and chill with a cup of tea🍵! .

Trying this burger joint after seeing @fatgirlsfoodguide ‘s review and true enough, it was impressive and surpassed expectations, so good that I wouldn’t mind a second serving or making a revisit specially for it. Choose from your desired spicy heat level from 0 to 4, I decided to stick with 3 (to play safe) even though I was kind of tempted to go big with the highest no.4. Encased within two toasted burger bun lies a thick patty of fried chicken thigh, breaded with a crisp, golden brown exterior while encasing tender, succulent meat within. Even though I spent some time for the phototaking (as usual), the chicken patty was still hot and almost got me burning my tongue 🥵. In addition, the level 3 spice factor in the Chilli mayo was no joke here, which sent a fiery sensation down my throat, still manageable for me but definitely not for the faint hearted! ⚠️ Fortunately, the addition of tangy Kosher dill pickles and creamy coleslaw served as a slight alleviation to the tingling, numbing spiciness, apart from the pleasant crunch factor it contributed to the mouthfeel. For those looking for a more filling meal, a set is also available that comprises of your choice of fries 🍟 or coleslaw 🥗 and a soda 🥤 along with the chicken burgers 🍔 .

Tart shell was firm, crumbly which also comprises of an inner core of fresh cream and soft, fluffy vanilla sponge. The melon fruits added a pleasant tinge of natural sweetness, which would have been better if they were more juicy and sweet. Though the taste didn’t disappoint, I would personally rank the aesthetics here over its palatability.
2️⃣ Sweet potato apple tart [3800KRW ~> $4.60] .
Thought the aesthetics here obviously lose out to the melon tart, I would personally give it a higher score for palatability. The pie crust was crumbly with a lingering buttery fragrance, comprising of sweet potato paste that was luscious, divine, along with huge chunks of sweet potato and diced caramelised apple chunks. The highlight here got to be the pie tart crust that is a solid 💯.
2nd time here (judge me or not but I polished this 2 tarts off on my own in a single seating 🙊) and definitely not the last, given the wide variety of assorted patisseries available that never fails to leave me spoilt for choice! 💕 .

Came here initiallywith the intention to check out the strawberry bingsu, which was one of the bestsellers, but unfortunately the season of strawberry had ended, with watermelon being the seasonal flavour for now. Unfortunately this didn’t disappoint as the watermelons were really fresh, juicy and sweet. An incopious amount of strawberry slices were also present atop the watermelon cubes, which came as a pleasant surprise and added a tangy note. The milk flavoured sherbet felt more like a sorbet instead of bingsu, which was smooth with a light, slightly icy texture that carries off a distinct, aromatic dairy flavour and fragrance. Tasted great in silo without the need for an extra side of condensed milk to drizzle over! 👍🏻 Each bingsu order also comes with a side of red bean and chewy rice cakes. On a side note, I simply fancy the fact that the bingsu here comes in a solo-friendly size, as observed from some diners around us having one portion of bingsu to their own each instead of sharing. Although sharing is caring, this is a good treat to indulge in when craving kicks in, or when the weather shows no mercy, without worrying about the aftermath of food waste or over-indulgence! 🙂 .
