Chicken salad + grilled cheese food is mediocre 🥺 nothing special

Way too expensive for basics Service and table wait was amazing. Food wise mediocre. Literally scrambled eggs with toast for $16, top up pork sausage for 6, adding up to $22. Look at it. Normal pre packed, processed sausages I would say. Normal bread, not even sourdough. What can I say, basic and soulless food. A bit sad and disappointed and way too pricey. Mocha came in a tiny glass cup. Wasn’t tasty too. Ambience??, no ambience.

Reuben 17++ It's decent, everything was not too strong. There could have been more meat tho. The bread had a noteworthy hard crisp which reminded me of crispy waffles for some reason Overall expensive place and not worth it at all, food is decent but quite overhyped

Japanese buffet Good quality food items, served with small portions, yet delightful. Works well for a buffet, which allows us to try out many different dishes. Check out this complimentary mentaiko scallop. Super good!

Thick-cut Sashimi & Good Service ($56.90++ per pax) Highlights: Thick-cut Sashimi, Mentaiko Scallop, Wagyu Beef Salmon sashimi was good! I didn't enjoy the yellowtail sashimi though. Other cooked items are quite ordinary. If you need veg, go for the okonomiyaki! Cabbage seems healthier than the ingredients in their salad - (iceberg?) lettuce, corn, cherry tomato, cucumber. The buffet comes with free ice cream :) Some hit and miss items, but overall I recommend this place! Allergen: Chawanmushi has prawn

Amazing Japanese Buffet My favourite Japanese buffet as they serve quality food. Sashimi is thick and fresh, and decent selection. Love their teapot soup and Ikura chawanmushi as well. Fast and efficient service, and they didn’t miss out any food that we ordered. Would definitely come back!! Cost: $51.90 per pax

The selected place for the night got everyone’s approval which made me satisfied. To share we had the wagyu cote de boeuf and this was a meat feast fit for a king or was it Dad? Medium cut with enough tendon, fat and red protein. The French bean side was slightly too tough with an old skin, but thankfully we ordered the beetroot tartare which was a nice interlude to the 1.1kg star of the night. For my main I had the quinoa falafel which was a great take on the usual fried chickpea & beans “meatballs”. I also adored the bed of hummus together with cabbage and pomegranate. Artemis is now on my “go to places for occasions” list.

Roasted Salmon Located at the heart of the CBD on level 40 of Capitagreen Building, you can get a panoramic view of the Singapore skyline while enjoying the wonderful Mediterranean inspired food. One of the standouts was the perfectly roasted salmon atop a bed of couscous, eggplant and tomato relish ($36). The salmon was perfectly cooked with a nice crispy skin. I also liked the combination of flavours of the turmeric, saffron and tomato that go really well with the couscous.

3 Soup Base We opt for the 3 soup base - Buddha Jump Over the Wall, Imperial Soup and Mala Tang. The soup base was really gooood, except for the Mala, you can find better ones elsewhere.

Kopi • Teh • Barley • Hot Kopi (S$1.80, large) If you prefer light coffee taste, this is for you. • Hot Teh (S$1.40, small) Too sweet for me, but there’s tea fragrance. • Hot Barley (S$2.30) Tasted like powder kind of barley.

Mashed Potato Egg w/ Toast Mashed potato egg and picnic ham sandwiched in between crispy toast, delicious! (S$5.80)

Original Egg Waffle This egg waffle is crispy with egg fragrance, and there isn’t any alkaline aftertaste. Is good! (S$2.50)

Japanese leek, marinated trout roe, salted kelp, oyster emulsion (part of the $38 3-course lunch set) Umami and rich, the Japanese leek crowned with marinated trout roe, salted kelp, and oyster emulsion ($16/ ala carte) was a wonderful starter too (especially if you like leeks). An intriguing mix with the sweet charred greens, creamy sauce and briny pops of ikura.

Orzo pasta, Angus beef cheek, celtuce, garlic confit, and celeriac puree ($38 3-course lunch set) Lunched in style at Lumo. All for their $38 3-course lunch set, I particularly enjoyed the Orzo pasta with Angus beef cheek, celtuce, garlic confit, and celeriac puree ($23/ ala carte). My first time having the small, flat, oval, grain-shaped pasta and I am in love. With a pleasant gentle chew, the delicate and smooth pasta managed to soak up the all-great savoury, garlicky flavours. So comforting and surprisingly hearty. The beef bits were also fork-tender and not gamey. What’s more, the super nutty, celery-like flavour of the celeriac puree was very complementary.

Atas dinz place Recommended dish 1) Ice plant- it has a very nice texture to it. Interesting dish! 2) Burnt cheesecake- im a fan of burnt cheesecake and this cheesecake definitely didnt disappoint! But it is on the pricier end! 3) Smoked cod fish liver dish- went really well with bread 4) The lumo- sweet!

Onion soup Their onion soup is pretty nice and flavourful. I would have preferred a large piece of cheese toast but I guess considering its Mbs, it's still quite ok at $19.

Laksa Cheese Fries ($14) Fries topped with laksa gravy, runny egg, oozy mozzarella, prawns and fried beancurd strips .

Golden Sand Chicken & Waffle ($20) Creamery butter sauce coated Southern fried chicken served with crisp buttermilk waffle and topped with golden sand .

The Beast Nasi Lemak Burger ($22) Southern fried chicken thigh smothered with house-made sambal topped with a runny egg, sandwiched between deep fried fragrant coconut rice “buns”, served with a side of luncheon meat fries .

Seafood Marinara @ $11.90 Returned to pasta loft again. A small shop with 2nd floor seatings. Not really suitable for the old or physically disabled to eat here. Seafood was fresh. 2 prawns, 2 mussels & 2 strips of sotong. Would be nicer if have a spicy option, would have tasted alot better with some red chilli.

Garlic Creamy Mushrooms @ $6 Returned to pasta loft again. A small shop with 2nd floor seatings. Not really suitable for the old or physically disabled to eat here. Not bad sides. Fairly Creamy and portion was rather ok. Great fillers if after pasta still not full enough.

Not bad wings Paprika wings (5pcs) @ $9 Tastes not bad and the wings are quite tender and juicy. But can't really taste the paprika flavour. This is a side dish but it costs the same as the main...

Xiao Ya Tou We had the truffle roasted duck, mala fish, brussel sprouts and lobster pai tee. All of them were not bad but quite overpriced IMO. The lobster pai tee was the best dish out of the 4 with a generous amount of lobster, slathered in rich mayo and topped with ikura. Truffle roasted duck was not subtle with the truffle which I appreciated. The mala fish was average, while the brussel sprouts was a bit too sweet with Thai chili sauce-like taste.
