Went a little crazy with the salted caramel but it was really delicious. The unique texture of the frozen roll hits the tongue with a burst of flavour and does not disappoint.
Price was $5.70.
Bought the Giga Fries ($9.9) on a late Sunday afternoon. Have been a big fan of the brand in Thailand and Hong Kong - the spread of options is not available here though.
Service was slow, but the cashier did warn that it will take 15 mins+
Fries was a little underwhelming, it was soggy and didn’t have as much flavouring that potato corner is famous for in the other countries I’ve tried it at. Flavours tasted exactly the same though.
Gets a little wet and soggy as you approach the bottom, likely due to the fries cooling down.
Not worth the hype to be very honest.
Went to Dancing Crab on a late Sunday afternoon.
Service was so-so, kitchen service on the other hand was horrible. Ordered a crab meal with corn and prawns, but the kitchen misread the order and only delivered the crab. Feedback-ed to the waiter, came back only with prawns second time round without the corn... really quite shocking.
Other than that, food was good, a little too salty but fresh and good!
With burgers (AND triple fries) so affordably priced from just $12 to $16 each, this is one burger party that practically anybody can, and should, crash.
Ditch the usual fast-food chain burgers and give Dojo, a pork-burger joint a shot because their signature tender pork patties were surprisingly good. With the distinct earthy combination of shiitake, champignon and paddy straw mushrooms, the Kaiju Set reminded me a little of Mushroom Swiss Burger but better with the juicy patty and fluffy soft buns. The Hikkori set, on the other hand, had a more smoky fragrance and everything is better with bacon strips. So ‘May the Pork be with You’!
Still fretting over what to have for lunch? Lunching at Raffles is no easy feat but I believe Kintaro Bento is somewhat a known secret in the CBD area. With fast, efficient and friendly service, Kintaro Bento offers a variety of affordable healthy bentos. The Chicken Soboro Bento, being one of their star dishes is simple and tasty. The combination of the well-marinated miso chicken, scrambled eggs and soy mushrooms is very homemade (for a lack of better word), I can just imagine my Japanese host mother preparing this. The pan fried pork shabu-shabu was also pretty good, making it an ideal fuss-free lunch spot for me.
And if you don't feel like leaving your office, they provide delivery service, free for those within the Raffles Place area!
