Banh Xeo Chay (vegetarian; $18) First time having banh xeo (rice flour crepe) and it was good! Have tried a few more from other Vietnamese restaurants since then, but this is still the best so far. It is like a cross between thosai and minjiangkueh; fluffy and soft on the inside with crisp edges, pairing well with the fried cabbage, onion, beansprouts and mushroom filling which was very tasty. Best eaten when hot :)

B峄g L峄 N瓢峄沶g ($25) Chargrilled Berkshire pork belly marinated in house special sauce. It鈥檚 exactly what it sounds like - good pork, good grill, good sauce. A bit fatty for my tastes but aside from that, what鈥檚 not to love! Pity this restaurant doesn鈥檛 get more traffic. Pls come and support them! Got this with Burpple Beyond.

Beef Pho(all Toppings) 23++(can Use Beyond, We Went On Cny Day 2 In Lieu So It Was Locked) They ran out of beef balls. Beef chuck roll was tender but slightly chewy, and some of the slices u have to separate urself for it to cook(mainly cos there's so many slices it inevitably stacks upon each other multiple times lol). Tendon and tripe were unbelievably soft, and beef shank was soft too. A quintessential bowl, quality ingredients and good broth. Hard to fault and probably one of the best if u want a good hearty bowl of beef Pho. I barely added anything to it, tho the chili has a surprising heat. If theres anything to complain about, the staff told us that we could use Burpple beyond so we went but realised it's locked for off in lieu. And the Noodles were the soft white kind, not the slightly chewy ones that is usually served w pho

Lady Marmalade @meatsmith_sg are meat maestros, but their burgers are definitely over performing and overshadowing the other mains. Besides their stellar world beater of a double cheeseburger, their beautiful beef marmalade cheeseburger is priced at a very modest $20++.鉅 鉅 One of same brisket patties that goes into the standard issue double cheeseburger is present. The replacement for the other patty is an obscenely concentrated beef marmalade. Don鈥檛 expect subtlety or balance here, this burger is an all out assault on your tastebuds.鉅 鉅 The beef marmalade is composed of pulled beef and onions, caramelised in a redolent reduction that is equally sweet and salty. It鈥檚 very nearly an overload for the tongue, and the richness is cranked up to eleven. And finally that majestic marmalade is panfried before it gets loaded on top of one of Meatsmith鈥檚 perfect patties. The pickles, while sharp and zesty, aren鈥檛 quite enough to cut through the maelstrom of meaty marvellousness. And that, folks, is how you get the perfect burger that鈥檚 been engineered for pleasure. Y鈥檃ll best remember this about all of Meatsmith鈥檚 burgers: THEY DON鈥橳 MISS

Best Burger In Singapore (& Maybe The World) The oozing melty slice of cheddar cheese. The thick succulent slab of juicy beef patties. The perfectly toasted golden brown and pillowy buns. The Double Cheeseburger at MeatSmith is absolutely life changing, and I鈥檓 not exaggerating. One bite, and I was hooked. The beef patties, made of wagyu beef brisket, are beautifully seared on the outside, and juicy and medium-rare in the centre. Then you get the kick from tangy and acidic pickles embedded inside the burger. Not only are these burgers absolutely delicious, they鈥檙e the biggest steal of the century, thanks to the promo MeatSmith is having. Before Circuit Breaker, they were $10++ every Tuesday鈥攁nd now, you can get the cheeseburger (along with other awesome dishes like the pulled pork and brisket sandwich and fried chicken) for $10 all day everyday during the CB. Take my money. (Skip the side dishes, like the $8++ fries and $5++ iced tea though. They鈥檙e pricey but pretty ordinary.) Hope everyone is staying safe, and support our SG F&B if you can! Go try some of MeatSmith鈥檚 awesome burgers. They鈥攁nd your stomach鈥攚ill thank you for it. (Wanna see the MeatSmith burger in all its glory? Pretty Disappointed. Good Service But Subpar Food. Have been wanting to try this place out for almost a year now and we finally got the push we needed when we saw that they were on Burpple Beyond! They specialise in hearty British fare such as fish and chips, pastas etc. Got the Bangers & Mash ($17.90) and Carbonara Duck ($18.90) and sadly, we were quite disappointed. The Bangers & Mash were average and we found the sausage a tad bit too salty for our liking. The mash was all right and had a good creaminess to it, but if you don鈥檛 like lumpy mash, this isn鈥檛 for you. The duck pasta in our opinion, even after the Burpple 1-for-1 deal, was completely not worth it. You can easily make a plate of this at home yourself for less than $7. The pasta sauce tasted like it came from a jar and the pasta wasn鈥檛 cooked to a nice al dente. The duck slices were okay but they honestly didn鈥檛 add much value to the dish. Went back later on to read the reviews and realised we weren鈥檛 the only disappointed patrons and they seemed to be consistently pushing out subpar plates of food. What a waste. The staff, however, were very friendly and nice, which is pretty much the only plus point of the experience. We hope they buck up soon and the food quality will improve if we ever come back!

1-for-1 Mains (~$17.90) + Butterbeer Ordered Tandoori Fish, Hunky Dory Aglio Olio (+ prawns and onsen egg) and Butterbeer (separate order). The sauce for the Tandoori Fish was packed with spices and flavours however the fish is really small and consists of two small pieces. Doesn鈥檛 feel very worthy of the $17.90 pricetag. Hunky Dory Aglio Olio (not shown in pic) is pretty good, addition of the prawns and onsen egg is a superb choice! However do note that the addition of prawns & onsen egg (~$5.80) is not covered within the Burpple Beyond 1-for-1 Mains promotion, which we were quite dismayed to find out as the staff failed to convey this to us prior to ordering. The pasta by itself cost $10.90, wouldn鈥檛 say it鈥檚 very worth to obtain that as the free item since the free item is redeemed for the item of lower value. Butterbeer ($8) is good, worth a try as you don鈥檛 see this beverage commonly sold outside! Overall the cafe is quite aesthetically themed, might be a bit warm during the afternoon as there鈥檚 not much air-conditioning.

What A Masterpiece! We ordered the Pesto Cream Dory Fish and it was such a colorful masterpiece. The ingredients used were fresh. The pesto wasn鈥檛 overbearing and allowed the flavor of the dory fish to shine. The dory fish was silky, soft and decadent. It had a crispy layer of fish skin, which gave a nice change in texture to the velvety fish. The mashed potato ain鈥檛 your regular mashed potatoes. It was so smooth and buttery, and it absorbed all the essence of the dory fish and the pesto sauce. The dish was light on the palette yet so satisfactory. We also ordered the Butter beer (Homemade butterscotch soda, $8) excluded from the 1-for-1 deal and it was totally worth it. The soda wasn鈥檛 as sweet, with a hint of bitterness and was fragrant. The foam was sweet, smooth and flavorful, which blended harmoniously with the soda. However, it gets sweeter as you drink because of the foam. Overall, it was truly a unique experience with great ambience. Definitely coming back again!

Rakki Bowl Despite all the negative reviews I鈥檝e seen online, this was my second time here & I still find it a rather pleasant experience. Ordered the teriyaki chicken, salmon, unagi & salmon mentaiko dons. Taste was not bad, portion just nice for females & was worth it with the burpple beyond promo 馃憣馃徎 Svc was ok as well. But the chirashi & beef truffle dons were not available, so might have to check with them before you start deciding.

Good, But Horrible Service The 饾棪饾棶饾椆饾椇饾椉饾椈 饾棤饾棽饾椈饾榿饾棶饾椂饾椄饾椉 (~$17.90) faired better, since the lightly torched Mentaiko stood on the fine line between tasty but way too gelat vs creamy without body. The torched mentaiko seared the surface of the salmon just enough for it to maintain the plump body. Just a mini rant for those of y鈥檃ll thinking of going: the service here is horribly slow. They wait for everyone to finish ordering before prepping their food, which is kinda irresponsible bc they didn鈥檛 inform us at all. Hopefully it was just a one day thing Ig @goodfomood

Get The Mentaiko Instead If you鈥檙e going to make me wait close to an hour for food to be served, it better be mindblowingly amazing @rakkibowl . Not only was the 饾棫饾椏饾槀饾棾饾棾饾椆饾棽 饾棔饾棽饾棽饾棾 饾棔饾椉饾槃饾椆 (~$14.90) just mediocre, there was not even a scent (let鈥檚 not talk about taste) of truffle. If I鈥檓 trying to find something nice to say, it鈥檚 an alright portion for the price. 馃崨 Ig @goodfomood
