Open Cocktail Where are you headed to this evening for your TGIF tipples? I recently made a visit to @theoldman_sg for my TGIF tipples 🥂 and am amazed by the comfortable atmosphere there.
Tucked away in the heart of Singapore’s buzzing Keong Saik Road, @theoldman_sg is solely signalled by a single lamp that’s super easy to miss. There is no flashy signboard and tbh, I’d have totally missed it if I didn’t know that they were located beside @oliviarestaurant_sg . But it’s this discreet entrance that makes you grow in anticipation and curiosity to find out what lies beyond the white wooden doors.
Currently ranked 58 on World's 50 Best Bars list, this intimate speakeasy serves innovative cocktails with attentive hospitality. We had 𝐓𝐨 𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐍𝐨𝐭 from their menu as well as a 𝐠𝐢𝐧-𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥. 𝐓𝐨 𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐍𝐨𝐭 consists of 𝙗𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙙 𝙤𝙖𝙩 𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙡𝙚𝙩𝙤𝙣 𝙧𝙪𝙢, 𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙚𝙙 𝙘𝙤𝙘𝙖-𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙖 & 𝙫𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙖 𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧, which creates an appetising tart-like aftertaste that sets the mood for a long evening of cocktails to come.
This stylish, intimate, Ernest Hemingway–inspired bar has a built-in cooling strip that runs down the middle of the I-shaped bar counter to keep your drinks cold while you chat away with your friends and the bartenders. The walls are lined with bookshelves that also serve as standing tables.
Overall, the bar gives off a homely and comfy living room vibes that makes you wanna stay to chill and never want to walk away from. The comfortable atmosphere and convivial vibes adds to the draw of @theoldman_sg , as you can easily spend a TGIF night here with your friends over quality cocktails!
