So, what makes a really good Γ‰clair? I like my Γ‰clair to have a textural contrast between the pastry and the crΓ¨me. The pastry should be a golden-dark brown, thin and slightly crunchy. It should be perfectly straight, long and free from cracks. Under no circumstances should any Γ©clair be flat. And also, Γ©clairs should have a clear separation between the glaze and the pastry, especially at the edges. On top of this, the glaze should sparkle in the light, which gives it the WOW factor! Finally, my Γ©clair cannot be overly sweet so that other flavours used will be elevated. Thank you Pastel Paris Γ‰clairs for satisfying all my criteria! This sweet treat is super soft and fluffy. Its passionfruit toppings give it a refreshingly sourish twist and the server explained to us that passionfruit is used to cut down the greasiness from our main courses.

We got so bored of eating golden mushrooms alone so we had them wrapped with greasy, fat slices of yummy bacon! We also BBQ them with kimchi to spice things up a little! Can you think of other ways of having golden mushrooms during Korean BBQ? πŸ˜‹πŸ˜

The whipped cream is light and complements the pancake very well. Vanilla ice cream gives the entire dessert its sweetness but it isn’t overwhelming due to the slightly sour berry sauce. What a great combination! πŸ˜‹πŸ˜

Lunched with my favourite babe @avekang and she said Som-Jid (165 baht) caught her eyes immediately.
