It’s my fourth time here and I reverted back to the good ole aburi salmon bowl !! Just found out that you can top up $2 to get the edamame and miso soup which is p worth 🤪 fun fact: I’ve always thought edamame is basically peas and only found out yesterday that they were beans and actually q tasty !! I also j found out yesterday that the brown cubes weren’t “jelly” and was actually the solidified sauce that would melt into the hot rice lmao oops 🙊 Didn’t use the 1-1 because I opted for the cheaper option and my bowl was only $13 nett and I want to save the deal to eat with georgia (who I’m sharing this account with but is vv busy being a hardworking girl while I’m frolicking around during this finals season) heh still love this place and their super quick service - candace ✌🏻

We got 4 sets of steak which were all nicely presented in a mini tower with onion rings, hashbrown, rocket salad and mustard sauce!! Since it was compulsory to get a meal + drink set to be eligible for the 1-1 deal we also got 4 drinks - passion fizz, black cold brew, rose latte and got chocolate! all were p good :-) Only downside is that they were all rly puny lmao mini cups ._. The latte art is rly qt too (esp the snowflake on the got chocolate for that christmas vibe) I personally thought the steak was p decent although quite small but my parents said “it’s too hard” which I could tell from the colour of their steaks. So I guess it’s really based on your luck whether they serve you some solid steak or overcooked ones lmao (we all got medium-rare). I found the fried stuff (onion rings and hashbrown) rly solid (literally cos crispy ha pls laugh) but the salad was kinda dead and not fresh at all (leaves look like they were literally dying) 🌱Ambience-wise is rly clam and nicely decorated (it’s beginning to feel a lot like christmas amirite homies ✌🏻🎄❄️☃️) However, it’s quite an inaccessible place if you don’t come by car so that’s a boohoo factor 🚗 Would come again but only with the 1-1 deal and if someone chauffeurs me over because grab is way too expensive and would make it #notworth !! I made sure our sets are all exactly the same price to avoid the situation where they took the prices of the 2 more expensive sets (not sure if that’s how it works - vs taking the more expensive one between each 2 sets aka you can get 2 expensive sets and 2 cheaper sets and pay for 1 expensive set and 1 cheaper set if that makes sense???) because #cheapskatelife TEEHEE Spent total of $59 before GST and tax which is approx $70 after GST and tax which is not a vv steep price for a steak meal for 4 heh 🤪 - candace ✌🏻

ohman ... I forgot the vv chim jap name of both bowls we ordered so I’ll just explain it in simple english. The first one was the salmon and ikura bowl and it was super good !! The ballballs were so poppy and salty and slimy (sounds gross but that’s how you want your ikura to be amirite!!) The other one was swordfish belly with seared scallops topped with truffle #boujeelife I generally like salmon better so would still opt for salmon but apparently swordfish is supposed to be the more upz sashimi? Only downside was that both were pretty pricey at $25 and $24 respectively. Would probably still revert to the normal $13 aburi salmon bowl that I usually get. But this was definitely a good treat and would defo recommend this place with or without the 1-1 deal! Prolly budget and j get the more mainstream bowls next time or when I use up the deals though. Overall rating is solid 10/10 wew - candace ✌🏻

We got the avocado sweet potato one and topped up to brown rice cos #health and added tofu for some protein!! It was really yummy and ingredients were fresh :-) “I really liked it”-jack For the other bowl, we got the beef bulgogi one! I think this one wasn’t as good since I found it quite strange for the beef bulgogi to be served as a dish that leaned more towards the cold side. However, they were still relatively generous with the beef and the texture and taste was good :-) It doesn’t really matter what sauce you pick if you dine in since they will pass it to you in the bottle. This is unlike the takeaway option whereupon will get a small tub. I still preferred my previous option of soy chicken and buckwheat noodles :-( Would still go back to that the next time. Place was clean, not too crowded and comfortable in general! Service was fast so it’s a great meal option if you are in a rush! We went for the build your own bowl option so we could choose the sides we wanted - would really recommend the kimchi !! It’s a little spicier than regular kimchi in my opinion but super yumz! We spent $11.90 in total ($9.90 for each bowl but used the 1-1 deal, +$1 for brown rice, +$1 for tofu). Do note that add-ons and top-ups aren’t eligible for the 1-1 deal. Would rate this place overall 8/10! Definitely would come back even after both the 1-1 deals are used up teehee :-) - candace ✌🏻
