We are on the fourth day of our “circuit breaker” in Singapore, how is everyone doing so far?

I'm doing great, it's just that...I'm starting to miss all the hawker food like Prawn Noodles 虾面, Nasi Lemak 椰浆饭, Char Kway Teow 炒粿条, Fried Carrot Cake 菜头粿 and etc.

#throwback Featuring the Big Prawn Noodles that I packed from 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐝 𝐁𝐢𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐧 𝐍𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐥𝐞 during my recent visit to the📍Old Airport Road Market & Food Centre. There are a few stalls that are selling Prawn Noodles in this Food Centre, however, this is my favourite stall.

Whitley Rd Big Prawn Noodle offers their customers with varied side ingredients like prawns, pork liver, pork ribs and pig's tail. The ingredients are fresh, the broth, on the other hand, is intense and rich in prawn flavour that makes me appreciate every sip of it.

Usually, I will order bee hoon with yellow noodles (try to make it look and taste similar to "Penang Hokkien Mee") and request for extra chili powder and bird's eye chili whenever I "ta pao" from them.

𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐁𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐲 蒜香炸花肉 [S$12] - An inviting and addictive snack that was recommended by the chef. It is pretty similar to the Fried Nam Yee Pork 南乳炸肉, however, it tastes much better than the Fried Nam Yee Pork, as it is well marinated and serve with a generous portion of crispy fried garlic. I believe it is a perfect snack to pair with a glass of cold beer!

𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐠 麦片苏东 [S - S$13, M - S$16, L - S$22] - One of my favorite comfort food dishes that I will always order when I visit any of the tze char stall. The sotong is soft and tender, meanwhile the cereal tasted sweet and crispy, overall this dish is delicious.

𝐇𝐨𝐭𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐦 𝐒𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐅𝐢𝐬𝐡 铁板亚参鱼片 [S - S$13, M - S$17, L -S$23] - The asam pedas is sour, fiery hot, and tastes extraordinarily satisfying, it will surely whet your appetite and get your taste buds going.

𝐃𝐨𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐞-𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐤 回锅肉 [S - S$10, M - S$14, L - S$18] - Fragrant and flavorful pork cooked in a rich scrumptious sauce that is savory, slightly sweet and spicy in taste.

𝐁𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐤 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐧 芝士奶油虾 [S - S$20, M - S$25, L - S$30] - Another excellent dish where they used fresh prawns and cook with the "irresistible" cheesy and creamy sauce. It is so syok to dip the prawn with the sauce and eat it while it is hot. Trust me, I'm coming back for it!

𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐧 虾酱鸡 [S - S$10, M - S$15, L - S$20] - People who enjoy prawn paste would love this tasty plate of deep-fried chicken wings. It is aromatic and deliciously flavored, on top of that, the texture of the chicken is crispy, and juicy.
