I am usually not a huge fan of gnocchi as some places have it too starchy, however this gnocchi was a good bite size and was not too starchy or jelak. Though still recommended to share, as the bacon cream sauce was sinfully savory and creamy, which might get jelak for some. The sauce went really well with the chewy mochi with good texture. There were crispy bits of bacon in the dish to give a good crunchy bite with some cherry tomatoes that were fried in the sauce too. The tomatoes were a little sour and I thought I would have preferred the dish without the tomatoes. But overall I really enjoyed the chewy gnocchi in the creamy savory cream sauce.
This pizza was topped with tomato sauce, pork salami and loads of cheese. The pizza was overall a little too oily, but was super flavorful with the creamy cheesy cheese and the savory salami pieces, accompanied with the slightly sour yet sweet tomato sauce. The pizza crust was chewy at corners but the thin base was soft and complemented the pizza toppings.
Total bill came up to $36.3 after using burpple beyond as they charge the service charge on the full price, but it was really worth it! There were 8 slices of thick, fresh and soft salmon slices and a generous portion of ikura too. There was one slice of cucumber and a small piece of tamago, all were topped on a huge bowl of vinegar rice with furikake topping. The bowl also came with salad, pickled sides and a bowl of miso soup. The vinegar rice was slightly too sour, but the quality of the salmon was so good while the salty warm bowl miso soup was a good complement too!
Gnocchi was chewy and texture was good, not too starchy or jelak. Cheese sauce was also very delicious, savory and creamy and cheesy, and went really well with the gnocchi. There were some spinach in the dish but no meat, would have wanted some ingredients for more complexity, but the cheese sauce was really delicious and of good quality! The restaurant had a cozy vibe to eat and served amazing food overall, would definitely return with burpple beyond as it was worth it.
I really enjoyed the pizza that came with 3 kinds of pork, minced pork, sausage and salami, along with tomato sauce and cheese. The toppings were generous and evenly coated the whole pizza, giving the pizza enough flavor and complexity of having the different pork toppings. It was cheesy enough and had enough tomato sauce, while the crust was slightly chewy and had amazing texture and charred flavor as the pizza is brick-fired! You can even see the brick oven they have at the restaurant. For the risotto, it was tomato-sauce based and quite creamy and strong in tomato flavor. The texture of the risotto was consistent and was good as it wasn’t too hard or too soggy. It came with seafood like tiger prawns and scallop which were fresh and tasty.
So beautiful and so delicious! As this was my first time trying Calzone, I was really impressed with this dish. The crust at the corners were crispy and not too hard with good texture, while the other parts of the crust were thinner and crunchy, holding the bacon, onion and mozzarella cheese in the centre of the pizza. The fillings were generous and so creamy, savory from the bacon and fragrant from the onion, while being cheesy. I really enjoyed it with a little tomato sauce, that was generously served on top of the calzone. The combination of textures and flavors in this calzone was a unique experience that you cannot get in regular pizzas. Super worth with burpple beyond and would definitely return.
Recommended for sharing! I really enjoyed this lasagne, as it was so creamy and thick, with lots of beef bolognese with fresh carrots and tomato sauce, between layers of lasagne sheets, then topped with a thick layer of cheese. They were generous with the beef and the cheese, which was suitable for me as I enjoy more ingredients than lasagne! The mixture of bolognese and cheese were super delicious and texture of lasagne sheets were perfect.
Portion was huge and chicken pieces were generous too! Was glad that they had the option to change the prawn to chicken and was surprised at the amount of chicken they gave. The fried rice was fried well, not too oily, flavorful with pineapples, raisins, then topped with cashew nuts and chicken floss. Good to share among several people!
Worth it with burpple beyond! Had the Pango tart which was a passionfruit and mango tart! There was some passionfruit purée in the centre of the mango mousse which was very thick and strong in flavor but didn’t overpower the mango flavor. The mango mousse was a good complement with the passionfruit purée, and was soft and creamy. The tart was slightly hard, but still enjoyable with the pango filling. I also got the Quattro Matcha cake which was a very strong matcha cake, perfect for matcha lovers who don’t like their cake too sweet! The four layers of matcha into a cake was impressive!
I really loved how the raspberry and sesame went so well together. There was sesame mousse, sponge, raspberry paste and a biscuit at the bottom of this pastry. The ratio of raspberry to sesame was just right, with the sourness from the raspberry helping to complement the sweet sesame parts. Sesame parts had roasted and earthy notes while having a strong sesame flavor. I really enjoyed the different textures and flavors of this cake. Would return for the unique pastries that aren’t too sweet and so creamy and delicious!
As someone who loves cheese, this dish was amazing, as there was generous stuffing of ricotta cheese in the ravioli, so I could taste cheese in each bite of ravioli I ate. The sauce was also creamy and cheesy, while this was complemented by some roasted and fragrant flavor that came from stir-frying the mushrooms, and the parmesan grated on top increased the cheesiness of the dish. Mushrooms given were generous in portion and fresh and the ravioli texture was chewy and good. Overall a very complex dish with many flavors and texture coming from the different components of the dish that complemented each other to give a creamy and satisfying dish.
Worth with burpple beyond! The prawns were fresh and generous, while the texture of the linguine was great, al dente. The flavor of the aglio olio was garlicky, spicy and fragrant! However, it was slightly too oily for me, and would prefer slightly less oil! I really enjoyed this dish to be shared. Ambience of the restaurant was cozy and comfortable. Would return with burpple beyond!
