Nestled away in a cozy neighbourhood at Kembengan, the food here at @southunionpark did not disappoint! We used our #BurppleBeyond here and enjoyed a 1-for-1 deal for our mains!

Pictured are the 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐤𝐨 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐚 ($23) and the 𝐏𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐩 ($24).

Topped with generous chunks of juicy prawns, the pasta was cooked al-dente and coated generously in a smoky mentaiko sauce. Unlike other mentaiko dishes which can get heavy too quickly, the flavours were well balanced and I finished every last bite of my pasta. I loved this dish and would definitely re-order it again.

The pork chop was served with slices of apples and coated in a pommery mustard sauce. This was a very interesting and unique flavour combination, with whiffs of cinnamon yet paired delightfully with the pork chop. Overall, we enjoyed this dish very much as well.

We had one of their Signature Pizzas, topped with 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦𝐬, 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐟𝐟𝐥𝐞, 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐮𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐨 ($35). My carnivorous partner opted to add on 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚 𝐇𝐚𝐦 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐦𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐌𝐨𝐳𝐳𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚 ($9) as well 😂 This was delightfully doughy and we both loved the chewy texture of it. Overall, it was an extremely well balanced pizza with the truffle flavour being just right and not overwhelming the rest of the ingredients. We absolutely loved this and would return to try other pizzas in the future. 😋

Another dish we ordered was their homemade artisanal pasta, the 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐬, 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐓𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐎𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 ($32). I was pleasantly surprised because this dish is typically cooked with olive oil, white wine and chilli flakes but the pairing of flavours here was refreshing and delicious. On my first bite, the citrusy taste from the orange hit me and surprisingly balanced out the brininess from the clams. The cherry tomatoes were also well seasoned and were deliciously sweet. Overall, an extremely well executed dish. 😍

Popped by Basilico a while back using a #ChopeDealsSG voucher. I’ve heard such good things about their food, and they didn’t disappoint indeed.

We had the 𝐙𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐚 𝐝𝐢 𝐏𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐞 ($38) which was a southern Italian-style seafood stew topped with generous chunks of sea bass, salmon, mussels, prawns and scallops. The seafood was all insanely fresh and I absolutely loved slurping the stew up. It made for such a hearty dinner.

Next, we ordered the 𝐖𝐚𝐠𝐲𝐮 𝐁𝐞𝐞𝐟 𝐋𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐧𝐚 ($34). It’s one of their signature dishes with 12-hour slow-cooked wagyu beef ragout topped with fontina cheese fondue. This was also a hit, with us devouring it within minutes.

Overall, 8.5/10! Although the food is slightly pricey, we would say that it is well worth the price. The ambience was also pretty cozy, perfect for a dinner date out.

Oh, this glorious plate of curry rice has my heart ❤️ Cheap, good and so insanely sinful.

This was at 𝐋𝐨𝐨’𝐬 𝐇𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐞, and I got the Pork Chop, Egg and Chap Chye. And best of all, this plate cost less than $5! I just love simple meals like this, don’t you?

was craving for sushi that day and popped by @donkisg for some sushi. ended up picking this 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐨 & 𝐔𝐧𝐢 𝐒𝐞𝐭 ($16).

the uni was really fresh and had a creamy and rich taste. 😋 the chutoro on the other hand, was much more mediocre and wasn’t that fresh! 😕

for its price, I would say it’s pretty worth esp if you’re looking for a quick sushi fix! I’ve heard from my friends that their uni isn’t that fresh sometimes so my advice is to go early when they just put it out 😬

I always order the 𝐁𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐩 here without fail. Served in a hot stone clay pot, the rice remains piping hot and is incredibly flavorful after mixing! Plus, there’s the charred bits which I loooove 😍

Another classic dish we always go for is the 𝐊𝐢𝐦𝐜𝐡𝐢 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐞! Topped with an egg, this is a great staple for when we are craving for something simple

I’ve been craving for some really good 𝐍𝐚𝐬𝐢 𝐆𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠 since I went to Indonesia but unfortunately we can’t travel now 😔

That’s why I was so happy to see this on the menu at Sama Sama by Tok Tok! We actually stumbled into this place cuz we couldn’t decide on what else to eat but the food was surprisingly good! 😝

We also ordered other dishes like the 𝐆𝐚𝐝𝐨 𝐆𝐚𝐝𝐨 as well as the 𝐒𝐮𝐩 𝐁𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐭 and they were all really good. I would definitely return if I’m looking to have some classic Indonesian fare 🤩

I celebrated my birthday last week at the iconic Les Amis! I was SO excited about this meal, given that it’s a three Michelin starred restaurant and it didn’t disappoint.

We opted for the 3-course at $155/pax and although some dishes were definitely more of a hit than others, we still enjoyed the meal overall 😋 Plus, there were so many complimentary dishes that it ended up feeling like a 10 course meal rather than a 3 course! 😂

We started with a complimentary starter - a thin, crispy shell topped with sliced mushrooms and truffle. This was so incredibly light and delicate, and was gone within two bites 🤪
