矮仔成蝦仁飯

Ai Zai Cheng's a popular traditional shop that has been around since 1922 and we popped by to try their shrimp rice during our tea break! It didn’t quite impress us although it was more flavourful than it looked. Both the shrimps and rice were too mushy for our liking, even though I did like the light smoky flavour. Best part of the meal has got to be the fried duck egg (you can choose how cooked you want it to be too) that was super rich and fragrant! Mixing in the yolk with the rice also helped to elevate the overall flavours a lot more.
