Happy Father's Day๐คต! Our dad really likes Taiwanese food, so we brought him to try Abundance today. Went a bit earlier before they opened as we didn't have a reservation and we're glad we did, as a queue started forming even before they open๐. We recommend getting the Gua Bao! Huge slab of tender pork belly๐ฅฉ with melt-in-the-mouth fat, fragrant peanuts๐ฅ and pickles in a soft bun. Loved how the different flavours and textures came together. However, we did feel that it was a bit on the sweeter side as compared to what we had before in Taiwan. Still a delicious bun though๐! Overall we liked the food we had at Abundance. The mains, sides and desserts were pretty good, great food in a casual settingโบ๏ธ!
This Taiwanese cafe was rather very hidden under a HDB block if you didnโt walk around there.
Located just right opposite Redhill MRT Station, this place serves sone interesting Taiwanese foods with modern twists.
The obvious example would be this Niu Yolk, using beef short rib that is slow-cooked for 24 hours and flame-seared. I like how the beef short rib was very easy to bite.
Underneath is the familiar fried egg rice and for their version, the rice wok-fried with beef fat. It is also topped with onsen egg.
Although it could be the most expensive item on the menu, but it is totally worth with the taste.
Some pretty guud finds in the redhill neighbourhood! Here goes the food we gobbled @ Abundance!!

Honestly this was SO GOOD I think my fav dish of the night!! The sichuan spicy sauce has a KICK with the vinegarish after taste - and it matches SO well with the AL DANTE CHEWY noodles and big juicy prawn dumplings!! Each bite was an explosion of flavours ๐ฃ๐ฅฐ

This came in close for my fav dish. In picture was the four pieces and itโs the four measly but good pieces of prawn toast!!! I have never tried tried anything like this before- the outside was fried so crisply and yet itโs so juicy and moist when you bite in (with the prawn). I like that thereโs the crunchie bits (waterchestnut?) that adds a different texture to the prawns :โ) VERY NICE MUST TRY!

This was highly recommended by the other reviews - it smelt SO much like marmite sauce on our marmite chicken dish but with a sourish vinegar after taste. It got nicer as I ate more (friend E really didnโt like it...) but is def an acquired taste and fries were nicely fried! But... I prob will not order it again! ๐

We had to get a bun cos itโs aBUNdance right?! The entire bun was pretty huge and I must say the mantou itself was warm and fluffy and soft (good bread!). Pork belly was good too would love itโd thereโs more sauce drizzled! A good kong bah pau but for $6.90? Iโm not sure...!

This was OFF THE MENU!!! Mentaiko on fish was super YUMS - nicely torched paired with the well fried fish and their classic egg fried rice. Just thought it was a very unique pairing that worked well!!
Overall was a good meal and I will definitely be back for the dumpling noodles and prawn toast!!
Simple but tasty mix of vegetables! Goes perfectly well with the mains

Already thinking of returning for that springy firm goodness. Well-coated in an addictive fiery sauce thatโs not for the weak. The 3 dumplings were generously stuffed with minced meat and fresh prawns.

Came here to try the raved beef noodles but was unfortunately sold out. Ordered the Red Hot Chilli Dumpling Noodles and was so pleasantly surprised! The dumplings were so plump and filled with ingredients. The noodles were like those ๅๅ type and really thick and clung to the delicious sauce. The sauce packed a punch, and definitely spicier than Din Tai Fungโs with a more fiery sichuan mala flavour which I LOVED. Will be back for more!!
