Acme Bar & Coffee (Pavilion)

While ACME changes their menu every season, some items still remain in their menu like this Smoked Duck Breast Pasta. Spaghetti tossed in creamy carbonara sauce, Parmesan and Shimeiji mushrooms topped with slices of smoked duck breast. The pasta was rather bland and Shimeiji has a very subtle earthy taste which requires abit of seasoning. RM39 per serving.

For the diet conscious peeps, you may give a try on this plate of goodness greens(romaine lettuce) with lean grilled chicken breast, pomegranate, avocados, capsicums and the eye tricking slices of water chestnuts. I actually though it was shaved Parmesan cheese! What more they actually serve the Honey Sour Cream dressing on the side which means you can control now much dressing that goes into your salad. RM27 per serving.

It’s been awhile since my last visit at ACME. I realised their newly printed menu featuring unfamiliar dishes. Occasionally, I do love seeing sometime new and exciting that entice my appetite. From the Pots & Pans section, I found the Truffled Root Vegetables Fries interesting. Featuring fried orange sweet potatoes, yam and purple potatoes coated in a light Parmesan batter. These bad boys are well seasoned with herbs, salt and drizzles of truffle oil with crispy fried curry leaves. It’s tasty and goes so well with a cold beer. RM19 per serving.

Acme Pavilion Elite featuring Danielle Petta Graham's On The Table At Home recipe for their summer 2017 menu. Their deep fried corn fritters with cheddar cheese and mash potato was a generous portion to share between 2-3 person as a starter/tapas. Avocado salsa that served along with these fritters is lacking of something citrusy but good enough to eat with these babies. RM25 for 6 pieces.

Espresso Walnut Bread.
Smoked Turkey Ham.
2 Scrambled Eggs.
Sauteed Mushrooms.
Hashbrowns.

Bread, interesting but way too much of it.
Eggs were pretty well done, creamy & fluffy.
Mushrooms were good, very juicy, not overcooked like some cafe out there.

Overall decent. Doubt I would come back for the breakfast. But would definitely return for the dessert, Brownies!
