I understand the price point despite it being thrice of standard hawker food- due to the lobster. But that is no excuse for the following aspects of the dish to be bad. The sambal tasted like it was about to be spoiled, the rice has no “lemak” taste, the rice used was basmati(not my personal choice), and to top it off, the lobster wasn’t even cooked well!

I wouldn’t normally write reviews and I’m sorry I have to because I was thoroughly disappointed. Imagine looking so forward to try something new and after reading all the good reviews about it. It wasn’t just ok to get by- it was bad. To have lobster, the nasi lemak has to be good. Unless the point of adding it was to compensate for the poor nasi lemak...

One of the things that I get rather amused with is when other hawker patrons come up to me and ask me where did I get my plate of food from! Not difficult to understand why it happened again for this plate of chicken rice. The whole chicken leg was XL size covered in malay-style fried chicken batter that’s oh-so-good and topped with the extra crumbs that’s a welcoming byproduct of fried chicken. A pity the chicken was not freshly fried and there was a small patch of pinky meat deep into the chicken. Also interesting to note is how they use long grain rice to do the chicken flavoured rice (not plain white rice) although I must say the flavour could be more distinct. Nevertheless, won’t say no to fried chicken!

Golden Mile Food Centre has uhhhhmazing food but I regret to say I’ve hardly explored their Halal food section. Buuuut, Adim Ann Seafood & Satay Specialist’s (#B1-12) crisp fried chicken hanging in their display caught my eyes! Indeed, the skin had a great crackle and the meat was really tender. It was on the verge of being undercooked though, as the centre was almost pink. The rice was the chicken rice kind, tasty but not the most fragrant, still got the job done, especially with the shiok sambal provided
