The long queues here move slowly, but the staff are also really particular about the quality of their pancakes! We tried the black sugar red bean pancake ($2.60) and water chestnut drink (+$1). Loved that the pancake was thin but crispy, with the filling pipping hot. Would have liked more red bean - surprisingly, it wasn’t sweet despite the black sugar.

Tried this and preserved vege and the spicy beef before but this is definitely our favourite flavour!

Crispy on the outside and tasty on the inside. Great snack!

Wow Chinese cuisine is getting the hype! This crispy flat baked bread is called 锅盔 Guo Kui which is usually stuffed with various types of fillings and it is a popular street snack from China. 阿甘锅盔 A Gan Guo Kui originates from China, Hubei Jingzhou City with a long preserved tradition of over 1000 years. The highlight is that it is baked in a traditional charcoal baked clay oven. Here I got the preserved olive filling!!! It’s fascinating to see the oven at work in a shopping centre:)

First time having this and I loved it. The guokui is a flatbread stuffed with ingredients, came piping hot and super crispy. Got the Si Chuan Pickled Fish - an appetizing sour, salty combination with just a bit of heat - a little heavy on the flavours so it ended up too salty towards the end but I finished it anyway. Probably would be good to share!

I might have found me a new favourite snack to snack on before my exercise routine. Guo Kui is basically a form of flatbread in crispy form made famous in China. This Si Chuan Pickled Fish was delicious! Made on the spot, it was served piping hot, hence my awkward hands cause I couldn’t hold it. It was savoury and had a slight spice to it, and I gobbled up this huge piece of dough in no time. ⁣⁣

Queue was really long and the wait after purchase was very long too. Not worth the hype in my opinion. Probably wouldn’t come back for this. It’s just thin crusted red bean pancake.
