Not many dessert places serve this. Ah Chew serves an excellent version and it’s my favourite of their desserts. I had the hot one and it was thick and smooth, with just the right proportion of egg white and milk, and not too sweet.

Pictured below are two bowls, yam paste (orh-nee) and sesame paste. Very affordable yet good. Even better cos they allow top-up of tangyuan at $1.40 for 3. I like how the desserts are not overly sweet (no syrup spam) and hence you can really taste the flavour of the sesame of example. Will definitely be back again.

The honeydew was vv sweet, worth a try(probably should scoop out the ice first)

No choice, u get 2 peanut 2 sesame

Peanut filling was v mild tho, overall execution was not bad

Take note the aunty will scold ppl for staying longer than they shld, and don't take out ur iPad lest you look like an insurance agent. Turnover rate is meant to be high here, the chairs are intentionally super uncomfortable

Tried both outlets and I'm partial to Liang Seah probably. Durian puree was still intense, but it was icy. Yam sago were not bad too but not exceptional

The mango sago wasn't sour after an unpleasant experience at another chain restaurant. It was just the right amount of sweetness and cool enough. One of my favourite mango sago. Vanilla ice cream was also a good pairing with the cooled putu hitum. Will be back again~~~
