[CLOSED] Ah Hua Kelong (PasarBella @ The Grandstand)

This place is basically Zichar gone atas. With comfortable seating ambience and fully air conditioned. Friendly wait staff, and extremely young and attentive boss on helm, the place to be when you want something laidback with good coffee around the corner, or a plate of fresh sashimi on the right.

And of course, ingredients freshly farmed locally like this plate of lala clams, you don't have to travel far just to get some. Heavily stir fried with garlic and Chilli, this plate of extremely garlicky goodness give anyone the shivers. But this plate isn't all about the mush, they sprinkle generously with deep fried shallots to give this already tasty clams extra flavour and crunch.

Ah Hua Kelong's always my best bet when it comes to affordable fresh seafood. Caught them again at the OFC Social Market and for $9, we got 4 of these huge XL clams that were then grilled on the spot by OFC. They were so damn fresh, plump and juicy, there's really no need to dip them in sauces of any kind. Can't wait to head back to Pasarbella for their seafood boxes!

Probably can't tell but these were some crazy huge XL clams at the #ofcsocialmarket. Opted for the 500g ones for $9 and they kindly grilled it for us on the spot. Armed with nothing but a thick lemon slice, the juicy, plump clams were super fresh, in all its natural goodness. So shiok it only left me craving for their seafood sets. Due for a visit!

Hands down the freshest seafood I've had for as long as I can remember. The 3kg Medium Seafood Box recommended for 4 pax comes with a happy combi of steamed shells to retain their natural sweetness - prawns, clams, mussels, XL sweet clams, flower crabs PLUS a medium sized seabass that's steamed in your choice of Thai or Canto style. An addictive spicy sweet Thai style chilli sauce is also available to dip your shells in but I loved them the way they were. All the seafoods are harvested from their fish farm located off Changi and Sembawang.

More plus points? Service was very sincere, friendly and everything's at nett prices! Ah Hua's an affordable place with amazing quality seafood. We enjoyed it so much, even my picky dad gave his chop of approval!

Heard only 1 type of special crab come from oversea. Affordable for the quality & size. $60 for 2pax seafood bag, the seafood+steamed sea bass fish (fresh, sweet & really well seasoned with sweet soya and hint of sesame oil). Only flower crabs small, but surprisingly fresh and meat melt in mouth type, plus 1 come with eggs!! Their home made sauce compliment really well with all the dishes. A few moment ago calories cautious for a moments then taste already become "eat first think later". But still feel these are very worth it!
