From the Burpple community

This place was made famous by its amoy street hawker stall. Just a really decent bowl of fishball noodles with nice bouncy fishballs and savoury soup. Noodles and the sauce were average, personally I'd dump in more vinegar so they wouldn't clump. And by the way I didnt spot the purported 2nd gen hawker hunk whos owns the place.

Not sure why, but the portion of kway teow was much lesser than our mee pok bowl 😅 We opted out of the ketchup for the latter and got the original for this. I prefer a less sweet mixture so I liked the mee pok more. Their Burpple Beyond deal ends end Dec, so make sure to drop by soon for a super value for money meal!

Was scrolling through Burpple Beyond for something soupy and found Ah Ter. The Beyond premium plan offers one for one on their medium sized bak chor mee, and it’s SUPER worth it. It ends on 31 Dec, so make sure to go soon!

They have lots of noodle options (like 7!) and we decided on the mee pok and kway teow. Saw somewhere that they use quite a lot of ketchup, so we opt out of it for this bowl and I liked it a lot more (also because I personally prefer it to be less sweet). Noodles were pretty springy, but the best part for us was the very flavourful and subtly sweet soup! It came in a huge portion with generous ingredients like minced pork, meatball, prawns, fishcakes, fishballs and several slices of pork and pork liver. The pork livers were done exceptionally well, tender without any lingering stench.

While it’s a little pricey on its original price tag, the spot is air-conditioned and service was great. They also have a smaller bowl at $6 and a large one at $10. Their special whole abalone and seafood soup goes for $15.

With the generous portions and delicious ingredients, this meal is definitely value for money, especially with Burpple 1-for-1!

Note the deal ends on 31st dec so hurry

Almost a robbery at basically 4nett per bowl, that's filling for one and in an air con environment. And clearly the ingredients were really generous. You'll feel bad for redeeming this deal as u wonder how much loss they incur from u haha

Noodles were slightly soft but the mushrooms had a nice slight chew to them. Sambal had a rather strong ikan bilis taste, but not overwhelming to the point of unpleasantness at all. There's a slight citrusy brightness to the sambal as well.

The highlight is definitely the soup which was incredibly flavourful and chock full of ingredients. The numerous slices of pork liver were all cooked to a perfect softness somehow, despite being a lot more well done than usual stalls. Maybe because of that, the porky stench is almost nonexistent. Fishballs were soft, springy and ginormous. Prawn was fresh and not the crystal kind as well. And finally the meatball was utterly delicious with a soft texture yet retaining some bite.

What an absolute gem. My friend declared on the spot that he's definitely returning

I got the meepok w vinegar only while my lunch bud got the normal meepok (chili, vinegar & ketchup I think). Components that I liked best: soup, noodles & fishballs! Added more vinegar to my noods bc I love vinegar. A spoonful of the nicely cooked noods + garnishings (fried garlic, lard & spring onion) + mushroom was gr8. The soup is tasty, prob from the natural flavours of the ingredients (don’t think there’s MSG). Fishball didn’t have a fishy taste, tasted like the fishballs from my childhood (cc margaret drive fishball). The prawns, fishcake and pork slices were decent too, the pork slices are not the dry lean kind. My lunch bud liked the liver (I don’t like it so I gave it all to him), he said that it was cooked well, kinda like medium rare such that it’s not too rubbery. This has 1-4-1 so I’ll gladly pay $4 for this!
