I ordered the $6 version that comes with one prawn. The noodles were more on the softer side which is too my liking. Fishball quite bouncy. The pork liver was cooked just nice and not over cooked at all. Pretty good bowl of bcm but may be $4.50 version would be enough.

Prices may be quite steep for signature fishball noodles (I got their $8 version) but I really thoroughly enjoyed it.

Their noodles were springy and very well dressed in their blend of sauces. I liked how it had the right amount of tartness from the vinegar and that the chilli isn't too spicy. The lard flavour is strong as well! A small downside is that I noticed some ketchup in the sauce, which made it abit too sweet for my liking.

The soup itself was sweetened by what I believe is pork stock, and there were many ingredients given. From bouncy fish balls to fresh pig liver to a fresh snappy prawn, I enjoyed all of them!

This is definitely a lunch option I would consider if I am working nearby. Will be back!

A longtime fave that hasn’t lost much of its appeal despite being 2nd generation. Love the vinegar Love the generous fried lard portions Though occasionally it’s a bit inconsistent.. These days it’s a bit too wet and oily though.

Grew fond of their rendition when I worked nearby in the early 2000s. Established since 1958 and now in the hands of 3rd generation owner (Gilbert, voted most handsome hawker in 2005).

The chewy mee pok / wide flat egg noodles are served in a house special sauce made with 7 ingredients, including fresh fried pork lard, shallots, black vinegar, tomato ketchup, and chili. Results in a bold sweet spicy sour savoury salty flavour.

The hand made pacific saury fish balls and fish cakes are softly bouncy, with mild sweet savoury flavour. Bits of fresh cabbage with vegetal sweet notes, and tender minced pork with meaty savoury sweet flavour, round out the dish.

This is a luscious bowl of goodness! The mee kia is cooked perfectly and extremely well coated with the sauce mixture which consists of many spices. A must try for noodle lovers! The broth is very well flavoured as well though i ordered this at 11am. The combination of soup made this meal even better and i would highly recommend this! πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

I was craving a hearty breakfast in the morning before heading to work so I went straight with the large bowl that comes generously with prawns, pork slices, liver, fishball, fish cake, fish dumpling and lots of minced pork.

The soup was robust,Β full of rich, sweet and savoury flavours. The noodles were prepared al-dente with a good bite. It was well tossed with a good mix of their signature chilli, vinegar and ketchup together with pork lard and stewed mushroom. It's so comforting to have this before starting the day right 》$8 / Large
