Expected a thick texture since they said no ice used to blend but there's a icy texture. Love that it's naturally sweet, topped with crunchy almond, granola, blueberries & a few cubed strawberries. Would probably try their overnight oats next time!
Tasty flavours that make me forget about meat! The sauces / dressings carried the dish, while the avocado added a creamy texture.
Only gripe is the pool of liquid at the bottom (likely from tofu) so the bottom of the wrap is soggy.
Do let them know your allergies - some ingredients like their cheese are made with coconut oil so best to check.
Cafe has a nice ambience, will return if I'm in the area!
Good mix of texture (sauces for moisture + dry sides) & flavour (from tumeric salted tofu, guacamole, garlic aioli etc.) 👍🏻!
Ahimsa Cafe serves delicious plant-based bowls such as the Fairly Local ($6.90) which comes loaded with blue pea basmati rice, sambal tempeh, curried long beans, scrambled tofu, cucumber, and crushed peanuts. Don’t forget to add Curried flowers ($4) to add an extra dimension to your meal!
Mango, strawberry, orange, oat mylk. So it's sweet, a bit sour (fresh!), and milky. If you like sweet but not so much, I recommend this since the sweetness is perfectly balanced by the small sourness.
The blue pea rice only got a faint blue color but I don't mind since usually blue pea doesn't affect the rice taste that much. The glass noodles is sooo savory and I love the taste so much. The guacamole is fresh and have a small small hint of sourness that complement both the glass noodle and the "beef". They cook the "beef" with gyudon sauce so it taste really good and savory. The guacamole is a smart touch that complement this dish perfectly for me.
