Ajiya is a cozy little restaurant that allows you to DIY Okonomiyaki!! Priced at $15-$16 per Okonomiyaki, with a wide range of sides and other staples such as Yaki Soba. Staff are friendly, the DIY Okonomiyaki is fresh and they are generous with ingredients too! Highly recommend this place :) only downside is that the place is small, with mostly counter seats + only a couple of booth seats thus may not be the best place for huge groups! I also strongly recommend the Iced Wildberries Hojicha drink ($4.50) to go along with the Okonomiyaki

Okonomiyaki, wonder into it on a lazy night. Glad I did not regret my choice. For the price, its considerably higher than your average okonomiyaki seen everywhere in malls, but the quality & taste far outweighs those as well.
Pardon the photo as the smell just wave at me to eat before my phone does.
Its not oily compare to mall style, not too salty either. Also order the gyoza and we love it.

Additional perks: DIY your own okonomiyaki and you get additional 10% off!

Walking distance from beauty world MRT, Ajiya Okonomiyaki specialises in okonomiyaki. They even allow customers to DIY their own! Besides the okonomiyaki, I really love the potato cheese mentai, which has a generous serving of cheese and is served on a sizzling hot plate.

For $10+ you get a plate of Hiyashi Chuka that is tasty and refreshing for the meals ahead.

Not the best but still worth trying! The sides- mentaiko scallop and potato cheese mentai are really good

Head down to this restaurant if you want a little more fun during your meals as you can mix and pan-fry your own okonomiyaki (with your choice of 3 ingredients)! You can also go wild with the toppings and sauces after your okonomiyaki is done, and I would recommend getting an appetizer if you're hungry because the okonomiyaki takes at least 15mins to be done (it's worse when it's cooking right in front of you). If you're lazy, you can also get the service crew to do everything for you.

While the fun factor is there, I feel that the mix-ins given were quite little and the whole pancake lacked oomph. I had to top up more sweet sauce and chilli powder to satisfy my taste buds. Similarly, the gyozas I ordered were pretty bland and could definitely do with more minced pork.

Warm service received here, but their food can be improved!
