No difference in price for lunch and dinner. One of the best ebi tempura maki I’ve ever tasted, despite not being smothered in mayo/cheese. The seaweed flakes and roe worked really well together. I don’t use the shoyu provided, just the wasabi. So good.

I don’t understand why dinner is more expensive than lunch for the same thing. Different side dishes maybe? This fried fish side dish (for dinner) was extremely oily n cold. I couldn’t eat it. Katsu was well fried and very hot. Egg was good, with the white totally cooked and the yolk still creamy. The gravy had an instant noodle soup taste thou. Not my style.

Pork belly that melts in your mouth 👍

Having had braised pork belly that’s tough this is certainly one of the best I’ve tasted.

Akashi makes for a great Japanese meal if you’re looking for mid-tier family restaurant in central Orchard area!

Their cold noodles are springy and yummy! I usually eat this or the cold noodles with tempura. Both equally great.
If you like your noodles with some texture, do order this! Best to put wasabi in the sauce to eat it together!

Love the soba! It is cold and springy. Really love the texture. Adding the quail egg makes the noodles smooth and yummy! Usually eat the sushi set or the tempura set. Both are equally good! The watermelon they serve usually taste great too!

Tender braised pork belly that melts in your mouth with the flavour of the marinate still in tack despite it was serve in the soup udon. The udon was thinner then the norm you get at other Japanese restaurants but it was silky with a good texture, like it was handmade. Broth was just nice the right amount of flavour for me; not too salty.

$18 from the ala carta menu, but I will order this again.

Waitress replied they do not serve the Pork Belly separately when requested on ordering.
