Great skewers bogo offer $4 for 3

Pork option is the best. Definitely try when near novena

Don't really know the difference in skewers and satay, I find them similar

Save this skewer kiosk housed in Square 2 for the next time you're feeling peckish around Novena. This unassuming hole-in-a-wall serves up juicy, grilled-to-order Sichuan-style skewers. Popular picks are the super juicy Lamb Skewers ($5.40 for 3 sticks) and the tender Chicken Skewers ($4.50 for 3 sticks). Spice levels are customisable as well, so ask for more/less spicy seasoning accordingly!

Their skewers is very good. Meat is juicy and tender, not those satay kind which are dry and hard. Give their tiger milk tea a try too.

Very tasty and affordable too, plus the chef really customises the skewer to your tastes. Would definitely come back again.

Came here for the skewers but was blown away by the milk tea instead.

The Tiger Milk Tea ($2.80) was good. Tea was smooth and not too milky. Pearls were chewy and just the right consistency. I'm glad that the aunty recommended the drink. For the price I would say it's good.

Honestly if I didn't order the milk tea I would have left feeling meh. I tried both chicken and lamb skewer. Chicken was well cooked (not too dry) but seasoning wise I felt it was quite lacking. Just tasted cumin and the flavour of the meat. Personally felt that it could use more salt and spices. Same goes for the lamb. The lamb was a little tough and taste of seasoning was quite mild. Not sure if it's meant to be like this though.

Alati Skewers sells authentic Xinjiang lamb and chicken skewers and wraps, flavored with only cumin powder and chilli powder.

A young chef behind the grill today and I have to say standards have dropped a little. While one of the sticks were perfect, the rest were either slightly dry, fat not completely rendered, not crispy enough, or there were some sinews inside. To qualify this statement though it's made reference to their original standards so right now as it is, it still makes for a decent snack

Tastes pretty much like the ones I had in Beijing a long time ago :) Chef is friendly, you can customize the flavouring you want on the skewers as well. Used the 1-1 promotion. Worth it :)

Update: seems like it really is 1 for 1. Apparently they just had a miscommunication which is all sorted out now. The team is even nice enough to offer some SKEWERS as apology :) nice peeps haha

Despite some miscommunication at first the food was actually pretty good. Really smokey and tender, while being well spiced with chili and cumin. Note they will just give you the default "normal" amount if you don't say anything about the spice level. Lamb was also well marinated. If there's anything to criticise about the food is that it can be just a teeny bit dry but it's not a problem at all given that there are fats/skin on the skewers

Very tasty, grilled-to-order lamb, pork, or chicken skewers. Pretty cheap given the location. Hope these guys do well. The economics are tough since this work is labour-intensive and time-consuming.

If you like game, these are definitely for you. The already flavorful meat is kicked up a notch with their addition of herbs and spices. They use the hind of the lamb so it's still super juicy due to a good ratio of fat and meat.

At $5.40 for 3 sticks, it's quite value for money although I wish they had a option of buying a single stick especially if I'm being peckish and just want a snack.

And only $2.80 at that.

Pearls could be a tad more caramelized, but the tea on its own was pretty balanced with sufficient tea aroma. A pocket-friendly fix for brown sugar milk tea if you don't feel like shelling out.

Have been eyeing this for a loooong time! When they first started, they only sold lamb skewers. Now there is chicken and pork skewers (and brown sugar pearl milk) too! Chicken skewers are $4.50 for 3. Lamb skewers are $5.40 for 3. When I got the takeaway bag, I was kind of shocked, because it was hugeee. Like bigger than my bag?? But alas, when I got home and took it out, the size was actually maybe jus 25% more than Tori q's length. With the one for one burpplebeyond, it was pretty worth it! Got the normal level of the chilli and cumin powder, and it was spicy enough already! Meat was well marinated. And not too chaotah, though I saw the staff snipping off the chaotah parts. The skewers are freshly grilled upon order! But that means they need time to prepare the order.. it was a 15mins wait, when there was only one customer before me.. Also, so glad that I bought it today, because my mom is making the whole family go on a no-rice diet.🤔 With sweet potato / taro as the carbs; one Non-veg dish (always not enough for me) and a veg dish. Since I don't take veg, I feel like I have been on a hunger strike. Haha! ended up cooking cuttlefishball on day 1, otah on day 2, and now this chicken skewer on day 3 as my added protein. 😂 #alatiskewers #burpple #burpplebeyond #burpplesg #burpplebeyondsg
