From the Burpple community

This was from the corner stall near the whampoa soya bean stall. It was decent, expect a typical vegetarian beehoon. I liked the crispy zai er!

From 俊记
Traditional Chee Cheong Fun + Yam cake, drizzled over sweet sauce & chilli sauce, dusted fried garlic & sesame seeds.
Bowl of classic peanut porridge, smooth.
Total $3.20 only.
The magic dust from fried garlic added the savoury sensation.

From 四马路 Goreng Pisang
番薯旦Sweet Potato Ball only $2 for 16 pieces.
Interesting chewy texture from the glutinous flour.
Not bad after reheat.

From Tong Bee Sugar Cane
Each $2 with lemon slice.
Not bad.

Chicken Rice 亮耀馳名四馬路雞飯

The sister outlet to the main shop along Waterloo St which is also within walking distance, the rice was fragrant and grainy, while the chicken was nicely seasoned in sesame oil and soy sauce, being tender as well!

Note: Food photos were taken before the current circuit-breaker measure.

Enjoyed this! The horfun was very fresh, it was soft but still had a nice bite to it. Beansprouts were crunchy and
there was no fishy taste. I usually prefer dry horfun but this was pretty good, the sauce wasn’t too goopy for my liking. Had this for one of my lunches when interning last year, and this was worth the travel from Raffles Place to Bugis!
