No stranger to KL’s dessert scene, Alexis Bistro is most known for two classics: the Tiramisu and Pavlova, both priced at RM17.80 per slice. Those who love fresh flavours should go with Pavlova for its melt-in-your-mouth meringue, light cream and fresh berries. For something richer, the cognac-infused tiramisu cake with dark chocolate chunks, mascarpone, caramelised almonds served with tangy strawberry sauce will have you begging for another slice.

Roasted chicken in light tarragon sauce (RM38+) charred crispy skin, moist tender flesh within, the roasted potato wedges and greens ( choi tam, they used here) are subtly infused with chicken fats

The Food Trooper met an unfortunate accident while on the job this morning at 12.01am. This page will cease all operations effective today. A commemoration service will be held in honor of #TheFoodTrooper on April 5, 2017.

The Food Trooper passed away on April 1, 2017. He was curious, hungry and adventurous. May we continue to eat like he would.

Today I have the seafood spaghetti with tomato base. Seafood was a range of tiger prawns, calamaris, and clams.
Disliked the clams because of their inners but tiger prawns were very fresh.
Love eating at Alexis not only because of those delicious cakes on the counter but also their clean and delicious menu.

First time trying a lobster roll! It's been talked about a lot these days and I must try it! Alexis has them with whole wheat bun, so why not!

First impression: Disappointed because I expected a whole lobster, sandwiched like a hot dog in between the buns with condiments. Not chopped up and mixed with mayonnaise and veggies.

However, it tastes delicious! I'm proud to say I ate celery here because I HATE the taste of celery. But they were nicely combined with the lobster meat. Couldn't really taste the lobster meat because they are naturally quite bland but there was a hint of freshness. They were cooked perfectly too! Very tender and juicy. Not overcooked. The whole wheat bun is so soft I actually enjoyed the bun more. 😬

I swapped fries for fresh salad. Usually they serve them with coleslaw and French fries. The salad was very nice! I like their sour dressing. I think it was lemon juice and vinegar.

Now I can't wait to try more lobster rolls (hopefully legit ones in London) although they are incredibly unhealthy and high in calories. 😭

Alexis has a new menu too! Haven't been here for quite some time. I will try their roasted chicken sandwich next! 😍

Food: 7/10 Price: 7/10 (RM 36 - I guess lobster rolls are this expensive? 😓)

Alexis has been around for a while, and its easy to see why. Served with homemade strawberry sauce, the Tiramisu cake is cognac-infused with chunks of dark chocolate, layered with silky mascarpone and coated with caramalized almonds. This best-selling creation is truly unique, and totally worth a try. Many are also unable to resist their pavola - probably one of the best in the country - with its crisp exterior and marshmellow-like centre filled with cream and topped with berries.
