Western fusion food from @rebelicious.sg

Rebelicious is located at AlibabaR the Hawker Bar, a very hipster place with “hawker” and trendy food and with a bar!

Featured here are the following items:
Rebelicious Spicy Chicken Burger ($15): This comes with a fluffy brioche bun, with lettuce, tomatoes, mushrooms, egg, devil sauce + mayo sauce, and a very HUGE portion of fried chicken! I love how the chicken portion was super generous, and it was marinated well. Be warned that the devil sauce chilli mixture is quite spicy! So if you are not a chilli taker, do opt for the other burgers instead (there is classic wagyu cheeseburger, battered swordfish steak burger and breaded golden pumpkin bugers too!) The burger set all comes with salted fries. You can also add on $3 to replace this salted fries for some of the other sides!

Pasta: The pastas are customisable! First you choose your linguine base (there is creamy furikake / creamy tom yum / tomato / aglio olio), then your toppings (under the sea, mean & wild, lil cutie, the green machine). The one that I opted for was the creamy tom yum linguine under the sea ($14.90)! It came with a perfectly grilled salmon with crispy skin, grilled garlic prawns, and two squid rings. For the creamy tom yum base, it may get slightly jelat, so best to share with your dining buddy! Sharing is caring, and you get to eat more variety too! :)

Crispy Calamari with wasabi mayo ($8): The calamaris were crispy hot when served. The wasabi mayo sauce had just the right mixture of wasabi in it, so it was not overly choking.

Head down to Alibabar The Hakwer Bar if you will like to check out @rebelicious.sg ! The atmosphere at the Hawker Bar was also very happening on a weekend evening! Especially now since groups of up to 10 are allowed! Head here for your group outings and get to enjoy good food at affordable pricing!

Drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and desserts are also served at another stall at this hawker bar! We got an Kiwi Lime Frosty and Apple of my eye (Green Apple + Lime) fresh fruit mocktail!

Delicious plate of food and rice! The basil minced chicken was flavourful and just a little salty so that it goes superbly well with the rice. The sunny side up was also done to perfection such that it looks so nicely done but when u cut through the middle the yolk spreads.

Worth the money 👍

Crispy calamari with wasabi mayo sauce @ $8

The calamari was soft which is good as we prefer not too chewy ones. But the batter is not crispy at all :(

The wasabi mayo sauce is good though not outstanding.

Like the concept of coffee shop bar and will be back again for the other food here.

@butcher_theburgerbar serves a variety of burgers at affordable prices that are delicious too! We had this bacon burger which has a juicy patty between fluffy buns, served with crispy fries. They also have chicken wings that were very tasty as well 😋 Would definitely go back for more one day!

So as you would have known Yong Huat didn’t close down on 31 August as planned. They’ve found an apprentice to take over the wok while auntie is there to supervise. Uncle will be back once he recovers from his surgery.

They do three items here - fried mee sua ($5/7/9), fried Hokkien mee ($5/7/9) and char kway teow ($5/7/9). I’ve tried their char kway teow and so I went for their legendary fried mee sua.

The fried mee sua is fried with some eggs and served with a good amount of prawns, fish cake, pork belly and chye sim (choy sum).

After waiting for nearly an hour, I was excited to tuck into the dish (after the camera has eaten). But I was slightly disappointed by the taste of this dish. It lacked the wok hei (smoky) flavour which I very much enjoy in my fried rice and noodles dishes. Maybe because there’s a long wait. Flavour wise, it tasted a bit bland for my liking as there wasn’t much seasoning in it. Add some sambal for good measure.

It’s nice that there’s fried lard bits on the side but I wished it was slightly greasier (a bit too healthy). Overall, it was decent but not worth the long wait.

But we gotta give the new guy time to hone up his skills and master the art of frying. It’s not something that happens overnight but I believe it’ll be Terryfic 👍🏻 in time to come.
