From the Burpple community

this place never disappoints - the menu has been entirely revamped since i was here years ago but the food remains great. the lamb was soft and flavourful and the fish and chips was served with generous heaps of fries. my only complaint that the plates are a bit small and i had to ask for extra plates to ensure that the food would not spill onto the table.

tried their Double Cheese Burger ($25++) makes a super hearty meal! ๐Ÿ” An all-American burger with double beef patty ๐Ÿ„, bacon ketchup, melted cheese ๐Ÿง€, green coral, tomato ๐Ÿ… & gherkin, accompanied by fries ๐ŸŸ, every bite was bursting with juicy flavours! ๐Ÿคค

Original Poke Shake Bowl ($20++) is my usual go-to at @alteregosg! ๐Ÿ’ฏ The highlight was definitely the generous portion of well-seasoned Original Shoyu Salmon cubes ๐ŸŸ that lay atop the bed of rice ๐Ÿš, topped with roasted cashews ๐Ÿฅœ, savoury tobiko, avocado ๐Ÿฅ‘, pineapple cubes ๐Ÿ & shimeiji mushrooms ๐Ÿ„ etc!

Erm pls take not that each of the bowl there costs $20 before GST and service charge
Firstly i would like to comment on the poke bowl, extremely not worth, portion was very small can hold on one palm it was honestly very mediocre and there was not a lot of salmon
As for the pasta it is not impressive as well the chicken inside does not even take good

Food was swimming in oil, poke bowl rice was too watery such that you need to eat your rice in lumps, and food is generally overpriced for the subpar quality. Worse, we ordered the Sauvignon blanc house pour ($45) (we even pointed to it) but they gave us the sauvignon blanc reserves ($90). What a sneaky move! We only realized after we left and checked the bill. Business lacks integrity and we really will never come back nor recommend it to anyone.

Fish skin ($10) was good for sharing though it could use more seasoning, over time it just started to taste like the oil it was fried in. The Classic Carbonara ($20) was decent but was lacking in flavor amidst the cream base, more cheese may have done the trick. The Steak Rice Bowl ($30) was a huge disappointment, beef was chewy and the rice lacked any flavor apart from straight up butter, it was not a dish that entices you for more. We also ordered a Tokyo Sour ($13), an โ€˜okayโ€™ cocktail that couldโ€™ve worked more on packing a punch.

If it werenโ€™t for the Burpple beyond pass, the price of the entire meal would have just been ridiculously expensive compared to the quality received. The only hit was the fish skin while the rest were misses.

Would I give this restaurant another chance? Probably yes with their pokรฉ bowls/pizzas/burgers. Would I recommend it to my friends and family? Highly unlikely.
