This is a classic al-funghi mushroom pizza. It features the house signature pizza crust that is thinly crisp on the outside and doughy limp on the inside.

This Chic Italian restaurant along Hong Kong Street, which has been serving up a delicious Italian cuisine, now delivers at 25% off.

The Crispy Calamari ($21) came with a light batter that remained crisp even after delivery. The calamari within was soft, and was served with sumac and sun-dried tomato aioli.

The Casarecce ($27) tasted way more delicious than it looked. Al dente pasta with a delicate aroma of black pepper, tossed with guanciale that provided the savoury flavors, perfumed by saffron.

The two pizzas were Broccolini, Pancetta, Pumpkin and Smoked Mozzarella ($28); and Stracciatella, Prosciutto, Rucola and Fig Vincotto ($32). Amò makes one of the best pizzas around. It has a light crust, made with natural leaven, semolina and extra virgin olive oil.

The Butter Roasted Spring Chicken ($35) arrived with a beautiful char on its skin, delectable with the juicy flesh within. Rosemary jus was served on the side, to be poured over when you're ready to eat. Served with sliced Roman potatoes.

I was impressed with the meal. It's said that at Amò, authentic traditions meet modern techniques. Indeed, these are classic Italian dishes, refreshed with a modern touch.

A pizza that many would fall in love with. Alas, whilst me and my pasta bae were going strong — she appeared. This 𝗽𝗶𝘇𝘇𝗮 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺𝘀, 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗹𝗲, 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝘂𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗼 ($35) was a sight to behold, unsurprisingly as it's one of their most well-known dishes.

It was hard not to be seduced by the heavenly surge of truffle aroma which permeated the entire mouth upon the first bite — stunningly intoxicating. The mushroom-infused mascarpone also made for a rich and amazingly creamy base, with a dose of earthiness that elegantly melded with the heaviness of the truffle aroma. You wanna know what luxury tastes like? This was it.

Pizza dough is always the deciding factor and Amò's pizza was doughier and chewier in the crust, which might not endear to some but it was pillowy with the perfect thickness so I was smitten nonetheless. Goodbye Valentina, 21st century romance is just so fleeting.

I fell in love here — with this stunning 𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘁𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗳 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸, 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗹𝗶𝗼 ($28). My gaze was immediately stolen by her ravishing amber strands.

She was perfumed with playfully piquant orange notes, adventurously complementing her multi-faceted and rich personality, bestowed from the sexily-tender beef ragu flowing through her blood. She's endearingly down-to-earth, with the earthy fungi adding a balancing gravitas to otherwise very extroverted energy.

She's also a passionate kisser with a good amount of moistness and, dare I say, perfectly-textured tongue — a touch softer than al dente, allowing that viscous beef ragu saliva to shine through.
