Freshly shucked oysters! We can't resist getting a dozen, dousing them with lemon and popped them right in. During their happy hour (5.30-7pm on weekdays), it's $1.50 each. It did feel more hit than miss, the hits being really juicy and leaving a sweet aftertaste, while the missed can be more bitter, acrid taste. Overall, will still recommend this platter 🦪

A small independent seafood bar tucked away just outside Tiong Bahru, @angiesoysterbarsg has launched their online takeaway/delivery menu 🥡 for 2 pax at just $72++ (U.P. $92++)! 😉

Start off with their creamy tarama, made from cured cod's roe, on their sourdough 🥖 (or better still, pair it with their Fish 'N Chips!) Wished their burrata 🧀 was more creamy & the combination with tangy-sweet strawberries 🍓 is really unique.
Their Fish 'N Chips was deserving as their signature! 👍🏻 That thin yet ultra-crispy stout & pineapple batter coating rendered a good crunch 🌟 despite being delivered.

While we can't dine out soon again, glad we managed to try Angie's the other day. Went during lunch and glad they had a good mix of brunch and mains available😊. Had to get some oysters to start off and their oysters are really really fresh!! The oysters were creamy and meaty, a great start to our meal🦪. On to the mains, though we thought their food was seasoned a little on the heavier side, we actually really loved the flavours, with our favourites being the mussels and lobster🦞 benedict. Definitely a seafood lover's heaven~

On top of the oysters recommended, we also tried the capellini and was impressed! The truffled kombu cold pasta (classic, $42) really hit the spot. I love anything truffle. The caviar, ebi and tobiko paired well.

More luxurious variants are available: prestige ($68), premium.

A pity that the restaurant relocated from Singapore land tower top floor to tan boon liat 2nd floor.

Angie’s Fish N Chips ($26.00++) NZ wild-caught ling fish, stout tempura battered, crushed peas, jalapeno tartare sauce. Definitely one of the better Fish & Chips in town.
