Reviews of good food at Antoinette (Mandarin Gallery)
The Grand Garden Of Antoinette

Such a beautiful garden on a plate, with more than 10 ingredients. There're crisp lotus roots, asparagus, cherry tomatoes, carrot, and even a poached egg atop a crisp, perfectly-seared duck breast. The duck breast was pink in the middle and still very moist.

Blimis & Royale Hot Chocolate

One of the coziest place if not crowded. Excellent service, very classy ambianc3

linis w maple & blueberry (13)-never heard of french thick pancakes, even google doesnt know what these are it is pretty much a regular pancake. So good though. Fluffy, stuffed with blueberry, would rather have the maple syrup table sided though (im the type that uses it as a dipping sauce, strangely)

Royale hot chocolate (7.50)-very rich, very very thick. Felt like drinkig a sauce. Should have tried dipping the blimis in this (hehe) The cinnamon and star anise scent is minimal

Yuzu Green Tea Bubble Tea

Meanwhile, the makers of the Best* Salted Egg Croissant (*according to Straits Times) @antoinette_sg has introduced a new salted egg item exclusively at their @mandaringallery outlet as part of the Mandarin Gallery Singapore Food Trail.
.
Available only until 9 Aug 2017, this mouthwatering dessert has a savoury salted egg lava cream encased within lotus seed mousse, coconut cake and peanut sesame praline. Personally, I find that it reminds me of a not so sweet mooncake and I like it.

This was taken at a food tasting.

A special pasta!! 🍝🍴

-Gnocchi Carbonara[$22.50+]
The pasta was actually in CUBES and is not your typical spagetti noodles or fusilli etc. The taste was even better than the looks. IMAGINE pasta being rolled up together in a dense and solid cube!! You could fully taste pasta for once and this type of pasta is well complimented with cream sauce (but you should be a cream-based pasta lover like me to fully enjoy it). I would advice you to share this dish if you want to try their pretty desserts or have it as your main AND get a dessert too, I swear you won't regret!

// Are you a mushroom lover?

This is not your typical mushroom😝

Magic Mushroom ($12+)
// Made with 64% of dark chocolate mousse, layered with light cocoa sponge, peanut caramel, raspberry marmalade & topped with a french meringue cap. Yummy~

Too cute to be eaten right? 😍
#burpple

New Post- Santa's favorite baker @chef_pang of @antoinette_sg has been busy churning out log cakes this season!

But if you're not into sweets, then this savory Hivernette($75) with layers of mustard butter, tomato jam, wild mushroom ragout, coronation and caramelised onions, and boeuf bourginon will suit you fine! More on the blog. Link in bio.

Always a happy day with eggs Benedict.

Parma ham was a great salty addition to the dish but pity one of the poached eggs had a yolk that was fully cooked! Unacceptable 😝

High Tea!

The Mont Blanc cake is tasty! With vanilla and chestnut cream. Love it so much. And the dark chocolate cake is their signature one , very smooth and delicious. Recommended.

Les Œufs en Meurette (Poached Eggs with Red Wine Sauce)

Poached eggs with sautéed mushrooms, smoked pork belly, red wine sauce, toasted Levain bread and salad tossed in house dressing

Chilli Crab, Salted Egg & Matcha Croissant

The chilli crab croissant had too much impact on me that I'm already craving for it again! I had the thought tt it'll only have a tiny bit of filling but the entire center of the croissant was packed with chilli crab filling! Not to mention the salted egg yolk was great too! For matcha lovers, the matcha croissant would not disappoint you either.

; blessed mess

Sharing food means there'll be an inevitable mess, but it also means you're blessed, to be sharing joy with the ones who matter to you (family, friends and foodies 🤘🏻).

Wouldn't have it any other way.
On a sweeter note, @antoinette_sg's Grand Cru mix of 55% & 64% Chocolate and Cheese Tart is satisfyingly dark and positively my favourite of the lot.
2.6-3bucks/tart

Better late than never!

Finally tried Matcha Croissant ($6) after the hype and cheers to no more queue!
The matcha was thicker than usual so the flow may not be as fluid, though the proportion to the croissant was great and the matcha flavour came with the bitter aftertaste, the kind I like!
Croissant was so buttery and flaky, especially the corners where you can even hear the crunchiness! A great dessert to welcome the weekend!

Chilli Crab Croissant - Spicy-sweet chilli crab filling enveloped in a flaky, buttery croissant.

.
I prefer my croissant to be savoury than sweet; this was to my liking though I'll choose plain ol' croissant with lotsa salted butter anytime!
