This pale yellow hued soft serve ($7) is super interesting with the umami, fermented flavor of miso in the backdrop of the sweetness of burnt caramel. Not bad, just different in a good way. In fact, it prevented the soft serve from tasting overly rich and sweet and the caramel flavor didn't get too jelak or overpowering. And I loved the popcorn too. It was crunchy and paired well with the soft serve well.

This dish is basically a slab of ciabatta, slathered with smashed avocado and nori jam and topped with crispy kale. It normally comes with scrambled eggs but for the sake of yolk porn I changed it to two organic jammy eggs (no regrets!).

At first I took a bite and was like 'ugh, my mouth is just chock full of vegetables and the nori jam is so seaweedy and overpowering' but eventually the medley of flavors and textures grew on me. The ciabatta is dense and chewy while the avocado is soft and creamy. The kale adds a crispy, flaky crunch and a hint of earthiness. The gooey yolk is resplendent with umami. So overall I think I really liked it haha. The Mediterranean vibes are real, with the exotic blend of flavors and complex creamy textures.

Possibly the dish that's a hot favourite, as I saw it on almost every table; the Miso Mushroom Bacon Risotto did not fall short of its popularity!

It consists of miso bacon, oyster mushrooms, fried enoki, organic egg atop barley risotto that was soaked in miso-mushroom-bacon broth; making it extremely savoury yet somewhat healthy!

The portion may seem quite small, but as the barley expands with every mouthful, you'd realise you're almost filled to the brim after you're done.

But don't forget desserts, please have their Earl Grey Soft Serve to end the meal!!

About a month ago I was using Chinese fermented beancurd and I wondered why no one used such a wonderful umami ingredient.

And then I tasted this. While it wasn't the fermented beancurd, this miso tastedly really similar to that(it took me a while to realise) which speaks to their brilliance. Again, it was distinct but not too strong, and it balances well with the caramel popcorn.

Unfortunately most of the popcorn weren't crispy. Taste profile-wise still a very strong dessert

Probably my favourite dish here.

While it's called a tartine, this was rlly big, definitely good enough to fill one despite how it might seem in the picture

Ciabatta was crispy and had just enough chew, but the toppings were what made the dish shine. While I'm not usually a fan of sweet and savoury, the blatantly sweet taste profiles of the pear and the caramelised onions were tied with the savoury bacon thru the ingenious use of crunchy rosemary that was unabashed in its aroma. These few interesting components has got such harmony, though it could probably do with more ricotta.

Definitely a must try here
